MoC 020 Understanding

January 18, 2021

Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored, while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is honey Smith walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hey Good Day Canna Listeners,  I just wanted to tell you before we get started that Fionna is working on another project that may take her away from us for a time but we’re still providing wonderful content for you to enjoy. Let’s get to it!

Good Morning my friends and aren’t we all excited about the mystery of this upcoming week and what it means for the history of the United States!! I’m sittin on the edge of my seat with my bucket of popcorn! I hope the inauguration is anti-climactic but after the last 5 years, I suspect differently.

For distraction, I thought you might like to hear about one of the books that gave me the best cannabis information… in lay terms… from a guy who worked on every big dollar motion picture movie you’ve ever seen. The stories you’ll hear in Cannabis Pharmacy are fascinating and backed up by leading scientists from around the world!

And then I want you to read a book about how we GOT here…. to this divided ideology in the United States through a book called CASTE by Isobel Wilkerson. It should be required reading for alllllll humans. It perfectly lays out how we evolved our current ideologies from the beginning to our own neck of the woods in this day and age.

And then I have a suggestion about how to defuse all this violent mess of ideologies through a source that may surprise you… but an organization you may need to visit for the sake of your own family or friends.

So let’s begin:

The first book I’m talking about today is called Cannabis Pharmacy by Michael Backes.  He’s an amazing engineer type who became a cannabis scientist to help save his dad. It’s a great story but the fascinating things he tells will give you so many Aha moments! Let this be your foundation to real understanding of the how’s and why’s of medicinal cannabis. The author is so entertaining and if you buy the audible, you won’t struggle in the middle of the book when he starts naming the different multi-syllable chemicals. Plus you can listen while driving or walking the pups, like I do. Audible reading changed everything for me. Opened up my imprisoned holy education to new thoughts and ideas.

I bought both audible and later, the hard copy so I could see the chemical names and find a quick reference. This book opened the cannabis doors for me.

The next book I read while watching the riots at the Capitol… and it ripped my heart out. Caste by Isobel Wilkerson will make you scream inside and cry real tears. But you MUST read it! It is our story. How we got to be so divided… And it all boils down to keeping YOU in your place.

I’ve been involved in two cults.

When I was a kid just out of high school with no real direction, and simply because somebody suggested it, I took the entry exams and was waiting for my Call, to go into the Air Force.  Break

A girl from my high school invited me to visit “The Farm” in Mississippi while I waited for my Air Force callup. She was very excited about their farm philosophy of living off the land and learning how to provide for ourselves in remote and primitive areas.

The Farm turned out to be several hundred working  acres in real production that fed about 200 people who went there for the spiritual food as well as a new path away from regular civilization.

They called it, End Time religion and they were preparing to move the entire tribe up to Alaska to live in their own carved out world.  I didn’t understand what the whole thing was about at first because they didn’t talk about what they were GOING to do…

Because first… they were collecting humans, their possessions, and their will to be loyal to their idea, while teaching them the hard work of survival without electricity, running water, or bathrooms.

Everything had to be made from nothing.  Simple food of bread and butter with jam and a big urn of soup was made to feed the hungry followers daily. There was a wedding feast once that we all appreciated for the variety of food.  The kitchen was as big as a whole house with a long room attached for dining and lectures. Latrines were dug for outhouses, laundry was managed by young unattached girls kept far from the young unattached boys. Relationships were only sanctioned from marriage and those were decided by “farm mother and father” of the tribe… unless you came to the farm already legally attached.

The men hunted, fished, and farmed while the women did the other traditional farm work like killing turkeys and chickens, pulling feathers to clean them for cooking and all that goes into producing meat for humans. There were dorms built for the unwed people and the married couples got the equivalent of a tiny house, no bath, no kitchen.

My call to the Air Force came up while I was there and “farm mother and father” talked me out of going. I’d already been caught up in this place that my family had no idea about and didn’t realize that I was a prisoner… I’d already turned over my car keys to farm mother and father, no outside communications without their permission and I only got to speak with my grandmother once, to tell her that I’d changed my mind about going into the service as farm mother and father sat over me ready to hang up the phone if I didn’t cooperate.

It got weirder after that. I was in the middle of a state, not my own, and kept from leaving this property when I wanted to. I soon realized I was being watched very carefully for signs of a runaway and disloyalty to the group… but I’d been raised by nuns… I knew how to show respect and loyalty. Break

Some day I’ll have to write the whole long story but for now, I just wanted you to know that I understand how people can so easily be lead down a different path whether unintended or intentionally determined, people make the wrong decisions for all kinds of reasons. Then change their mind on a dime.

I was able to escape The Farm when they allowed me to attend an overnight religious service with a bus load of other lucky penitents. We drove to Texas, went lockstep from the bus to the venue in some city and while marching in with about 40 others, I spotted a dime on the floor and naturally scooped it up before being seated. After the event, we were scheduled to sleep overnight in a motel. But they only got two rooms. So bodies were stretched out on the floor and chairs and bed. Women in one room, men in the other. I had already decided to make my break if I could just see an opportunity but they wouldn’t let me go anywhere alone.  So that night, when everyone was snoring, I got up and snuck out, telling the one woman who eyed me I was just going to the bathroom, down the hall. She nodded and laid her head back down on the floor. I could barely get out because of the girl laying by the door. But when I did, straight down the stairs and out the front door of the motel, running as fast as I could to get as far away so nobody could find me.

I found a gas station with a pay phone and used that dime to call my grandparents, collect…reversing the charges… and told them I had been held captive all that time, and had just escaped and wanted to come home!  They told me to make it to the airport and there would be a plane ticket waiting for me. It took me years to get over the fear of being held captive. And believe it or not, it happened again, much later in my life, and this time it was ideologically… as opposed to physically. But I was captive, none the less. I joined the Catholic Church, the one with the traditional Latin Mass of years gone by, with promises of burning in hell if I didn’t act the way they wanted me to.

How did I get past that? Well my spouse never ridiculed or offended me about my religious loyalties. But he would ask me poignant questions like “Why did we believe this or that?” And I always had an answer for him… See I was a convert… and converts read everything there is to know about the subject. Break

So I was ready for all his questions. And then he made me aware of the type of people who were in attendance at my church. I had never classified them as a category like that. Who were these people who couldn’t believe anything other than what they were telling themselves? Why couldn’t they make the same changes the rest of the Catholics made in the 1960’s? Who said they were right? And their numbers had dwindled down to just a small little group in a tiny church their hard earned money built.

I began thinking of the group like I was an “outsider”… not as a woman looking for a group to belong to that seemed loving and familiar… I began listening to what was said with a different ear… as though I’d never heard them before. It was more of an out of body experience than real…. finally, all those questions my husband gently asked me became neon in my head. Sorta felt like a fog lifting. Now I began questioning… something I omitted from my religion, as I was taught to do. That sect of the Catholic Church will tell you they have all the answers… written in stone.

My point is that we tell ourselves (and others)  things that just don’t make sense and yet we believe! The Big Lie is a critical piece of this type of programming. And all philosophies are programming. A deliberate plan of ideas that must be followed.. or else. Can be good… can be bad. And people are sheeple. We can be lead either way.

So I found a place that deserves investigation. It’s an organization about De-programming called LifeAfterHate.org. Their primary goal is to interrupt violence committed in the name of ideological or religious beliefs through Education, Interventions, Academic Research, and Outreach.

So you see the formula to recovery from this strange type of mental slavery is not quick. There is an evolution to get to that spot in our minds. Whichever spot that is. Because programming or de-programming takes time.

Experiences and trusted adults in your life encourage you to believe all kinds of things that aren’t real and shouldn’t be the pillar of your beliefs. Traditional stories like the Tooth Fairy and Easter bunny seem harmless… until you realize how easy it makes your mind accept the unprovable… because you’ve been told by people you trust that it’s right to believe in things you can’t prove real. (Another Big Lie told over and over again.)

Now we’re believing untruths and teaching our kids that’s OK.

De-programming takes time. You have to learn how to connect different dots that lead to logic and fact. I’m not suggesting that spirituality is wrong. But I am saying that being grounded in what’s real and what’s not is critical to keeping the peace in civilization. Hello riot mob at the Capitol. Break

So now you have some treasures to read in Cannabis Pharmacy by Michael Backes and Caste by Isobel Wilkerson and a great place to learn more about deprogramming at LifeAfterHate.org

This exciting week in history will be written in the history books as a failure and success. Whichever way you see it, I hope you consider the why’s of your reasoning and make a reality check.

Thank you for joining me for another Moment of Clarity in this frighteningly crazy wonderful world we live in.  See ya next time.
