Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored, while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is honey Smith walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hello my listeners,  now that we’re in the holiday death nell between Thanksgiving and Christmas, I’m so afraid my pool of family and friends will be smaller by New Years. But I’m trying to remind everyone that it’s like the darkest part of night before day. The vaccine is almost here… Just another month and we’ll have the fix to quell this thing.

In the meantime, I’m staying home. I’m ordering groceries. I’m not going into stores where there may be some unmasked person. I’m 66 with a compromised immune system and wanna survive.

Today I want you to hear the rest of Fionna’s story because it’s so uplifting. This poor woman, through no fault of her own, lost everything in her life as she had created it in health… to debilitating back and spinal issues… only to wind up drinking liquid morphine to kill the pain. Let her tell ya how she got off that junk! I just love this girl!

Unknown 0:14

Hello. Hi there, sounds like we did it again we did it again!

Unknown 0:21

I love that. There we go.

Unknown 0:25

Okay. Super. Oh, Fiona Sebastiano It is so wonderful to hear your sweet voice again, I’m so grateful that you want to join me for this great conversational topic about cannabis.

Unknown 0:41

I am so excited to be back for another episode of moment of clarity.

Unknown 0:46

Thank you for saying that I forgot to say that even I appreciate you so much,

Unknown 0:51

I appreciate you.

Unknown 0:54

Hey you know we were going to talk about a list of little things let’s give our, our audience an idea about what we wanted to talk about today. We’ve both been medical marijuana patients and so we want to tell you what we’re smoking today or what how we’re using. And we want to tell you about something that happens to all of us when we start taking medications, you know that are prescribed by our regular doctors. And then we want to talk to you about the effects that your meds. I’m sorry to storage, has on your meds and how to keep your medications, fresh right.

Unknown 1:38

Yes, that’s very cool there’s

Unknown 1:41

yeah there’s there’s really serious things to consider about that. So, what meds are you partaking in today, and I don’t mean to sound so silly like a gleeful hippie about to get high but I am a gleeful we are both.

Unknown 1:58

We are both gleeful hippies at this day and it’s true, it’s true

Unknown 2:02

and there’s nothing wrong with that either.

Unknown 2:04

no nothing at all,

Unknown 2:06

because we take our medicine seriously and that’s what it is our medicine, but it just makes us feel so much better. Amen.

Unknown 2:13

Amen.

Unknown 2:15

So what are you using today. Do not tell her this morning.

Unknown 2:19

I was really struggling getting out of bed, and I had already pre rolled some joints last night, knowing that I was going to have a rough day this morning because of, you know, being busy for Thanksgiving and that so yeah I rolled up some Tropical Storm ground, which is a hybrid

Unknown 2:40

through truly Okay.

Unknown 2:42

Okay. And I went and sat outside and smoked a joint to start my medication process for this morning, and I wasn’t feeling enough relief so I changed to fruitful watermelon, which is also a hybrid and this one is a distillate from grow healthy,

Unknown 3:07

because it doesn’t taste like watermelon It

Unknown 3:09

does taste like watermelon. How come

Unknown 3:11

that does, they put a watermelon terpene

Unknown 3:14

must be the watermelon terpene flavor, because it definitely tastes like watermelon it’s. That’s cool. It is really cool. My daughter is also a patient, and she originally purchased this and she struggles with a lot of back pain as well and so she tried this one and there’s another one is called blueberry is also their fruit full line from grow healthy and that one of the indika, and that one tastes just like blueberries too, but both of the effects are. I’m very impressed.

Unknown 3:51

Now grow healthy is another dispensary like truly are purely for fluent are. Yes, all of those right so okay, I’m not sorry, go ahead,

Unknown 4:01

location, I go to is in Daytona Beach, my daughter lives out that way.

Unknown 4:06

Yeah, right, of course, okay and I’m down in Melbourne just so our audience knows that oh I don’t know an hour and a half, south and east of you Is that about

Unknown 4:16

right yes and I’m up in Deltona, that’s about an hour and a half journey for us.

Unknown 4:23

And do you have a lot of dispensary choices up there that’s easy to access for you or is it still a bit suburbian, or when I first

Unknown 4:34

moved here, a little over two years now. The one dispensary Wellness Center, it was just surterra which is like seven or eight miles from my house. And that was nice and convenient but if I wanted to branch out and go anywhere else, and try other products, I would have to drive at least 45 minutes to an hour which is really hard on me on the days that you know I’m really struggling with pain, pain, who, right,

Unknown 5:02

who I would think so

Unknown 5:03

But recently, just a couple weeks ago they opened a trulieve in Orange City, which is only 10 miles from my house so that is a great help.

Unknown 5:14

Yeah, I would think so too. I love having a dispensary right down the street, because when I first started going to dispensaries, I had to drive an hour and a half away. And then they would only put that dispensary in the manufacturing section of town, you know the industrial section that behind all of the, you know, not out in plain sight you know very very ashamed to have this business here and, and it was not easy to find or get to often. And so, I’m really happy to see dispensaries now sprouting up everywhere.

Unknown 5:55

That’s actually the truly that just opened up in Orange City, they are in a shopping center so there’s multiple there’s Publix there’s Bella’s Bilas. Yes. You’re really right on a main road which is even better. So,

Unknown 6:15

are any of them taking your credit card yet

Unknown 6:17

they, I believe they do accept like cash app car I believe they do accept credit cards that they charge a surcharge, and sometimes they do give you a little bit of that surcharge back in cash, they’ll say, well, we’re gonna we’re gonna charge you this much, and then we’ll give you back what we would normally charge you but the credit card company will still charge you the couple dollars for using your card

Unknown 6:43

they’ll give you, they’ll give you a bigger discount on your price I

Unknown 6:46

believe yeah I believe that’s how yeah I honestly have not used a credit card I just go in with cash just in case you know they’re not accepting cards but because I know some places were starting to accept cards and then was COVID and everything they decided, I don’t know if that had a huge impact but they did decide not to do it, and now they’re starting to go back to it again so

Unknown 7:07

it’s a little confusing. It’s very confusing and it all centers around. Cannabis being a schedule one and the industry not being able to utilize fair banking practices, because of that schedule one rating. So the fact that some dispensaries are even trying to use a credit card or a debit card is fantastic, in my opinion, you know, there’s no, there’s no insurance companies are paying for it yet but I do know of a doctor down south, who’s who is actually turning in his paperwork to Medicare and Medicaid and getting about 100 bucks out on yeah so we’re the patient that he seeing, specifically for cannabis. So that in itself is a turn of attitude and. And that’s happening slowly but surely, it’s becoming more and more mainstream.

Unknown 8:02

Yeah, it’s helpful you know for the people or I should say the patients that go in and they’re not aware, you know that a lot of the dispensers just take cash. I have noticed that most locations do have ATM in their facility or close by for their patients to be able to access money, but it is a lot more helpful if they do start using credit cards because not many people carry cash with them anymore.

Unknown 8:30

Well, it’s dangerous be it’s filthy dirty. And, See, we need to go paperless period. And so you No need to stop cutting down trees to wipe our ass with toilet paper

Unknown 8:51

need to use hemp products.

Unknown 8:53

Every single paper product should be made Yeah, hemp or bamboo or some other renewable way better for the environments. Of course so hey So, uh, so you said, are back to what you medicated with this morning I so loved that you that you have nice fruity flavors to choose from, and that you kick your regimen up. If you find out that first try at getting relief didn’t quite work you waited a little bit, and then used a supplemental product of a different flavor to kick it up a notch to relieve that pain is that,

Unknown 9:33

yeah, you know that’s the nice thing of medicating with cannabis because you can switch up your regimen at any time, you could, and and that you can you can smoke something and within five minutes or 10 minutes depending on how you’re feeling and depending on the relief you’re looking for, and then switch through and switch to another product and. Yep, I mean you can continue doing that until you find

Unknown 10:00

until you find the reorder then

Unknown 10:04

your we buy where you just feel we talk

Unknown 10:07

about that everybody’s sweet spot is different, isn’t it. So it’s really you know you’ve generalities in what cannabis helped you for what condition, you know like, hemp is great for a immune system stuff going on and in your gut. you know it’ll just settle all that down and THC is really great for acute pain, and also for negative looping memories, you know, so you can use generalities like that, but I gotta tell you, all those fun names and all those you know different products right now. You’re not gonna be seeing those names for very long they’re all gonna switch because all the batches. And all the terpenes switch. And so they’ll have to give every single batch a brand new name you know or something it’s gonna get crazy, that’s until they start pricking our fingers for our blood No, to find out what are our blood really needs yeah Canada. So, and probably they won’t have to prick our blood.

Unknown 11:18

I hope no no

Unknown 11:19

or anger, probably just Scottie aubema sub are some that are we’ll go to Wakanda and get some fabulous. You know, new, new age tech thing that the Black Panther tribe discovered for us. Oh man, it’s really good weed I’m off the track again. Hey, what did I smoke to get to my good weed thoughts.

Unknown 11:47

Well, you said you enjoyed, you enjoyed what you’re vaping on this morning. So, let us. Let’s tell our audience what tell what today.

Unknown 12:01

So, the fluent dispensary is right down the street from me and they’ve got a real sweet hybrid called temp Tempe, or tempo. One of the other. And I get them in the 600 milligram cartridges for my little vape pen. And the reason I get the 600 milligram cartridges, is because they’re a little bit thinner. In the makeup of that product than a 450 milligram product would be that 450 milligram product that might still be that same batch. But it’s more concentrated. Makes me call. And so, it’s, and I found that no matter what 450 milligram, you know cartridge it is they’re all too strong for me. They make me. Oh, so if I get, the less viscous, the less thicker, you know, juice. In, in the 600 milligram cartridge, then it’s just a little thinner. And the, the, it doesn’t make me cough. And so that that really helps me a lot because I don’t like to go into this,

Unknown 13:25

right. Another thing I learned was that, some do some different types of terpenes can also make you sneeze or cough.

Unknown 13:36

Yeah, but that’s highly subjective, to the person highly in person, you know, you may have a slight little allergy or something, you know from it and good night. Being here in Florida. Did you know that the winds from the Sahara Desert are blown over here every single year across the waters. And so, yeah, man. So, every frickin year we’ve got new allergens to combat. And that’s why Florida’s like you know the sneeze ruled. So, cannabis can help yeah you know just kind of settles all that jazz.

Unknown 14:19

It is interesting to learn about all the different terpenes, and know you know like when you’re tasting different forms of cannabis you can actually identify the terpenes flavors.

Unknown 14:33

Yes. Well yes, and terpenes also are effective medicinal Li but they’re still trying to work all that out in the scientific world and specifically how they operate, you know, some of them are anti this and anti that anti bacterial or anti, you know, coagulants or anti inflammatory a little bit but, um, but, for instance, there’s a terpene called caryophyllene. It’s actually a sequitur pain and, like, the cannabinoid CBD. It tames THC. So, carry off lean is found in black pepper. So if you ever smoke a little too much. Marijuana that’s got, you know, a high concentration of THC and it makes you feel anxious or a little paranoid pepper uncomfortable. All yep yeah brown pepper, chew on it or whatever, lemon rind will do that to lemon rind has caryophyllene in it. And so knowing about the terpenes and, you know, there’s over 400 compounds oh and

Unknown 15:55

another fun. Before you medicate actually eating mango helps intensify the medication

Unknown 16:08

right about that,

Unknown 16:09

and I love mangoes so

Unknown 16:12

mango. So, having a little mango on your ice cream, especially with a little vodka in the bottom is.

Unknown 16:25

So over your ice cream and there you go.

Unknown 16:31

God, London,

Unknown 16:38

real. So hey, did we talk about how we store our meds because you know how you store them can affect

Unknown 16:48

their effective it’s a good point because I want to go back to that again I was reading on an article on the fly this morning, and the article was talking about flower that was purchased back in 2014, and then five years later, they tested it prior in 2014 and then had it stored and it’s most important to keep your flour in a cool dark place and an airtight container to preserve preserve all the terpene, and all of that, but you can only do that for so long before the terpene effects deplete and your cannabis starts to dry out and it’s not as potent at it as it was before even the THC level and it can deplete. Yeah, they tested it five years later, and it first tested it like 14% and then they tested it five years later it turned out at 8%. Yes, so they say after about 180 days, your medication can start losing some of the potency, is what I was reading.

Unknown 18:05

Okay. But let me just give you a little historical factoid back in the day when I was a young kid smoking pot at 14. That was a fairly high percentage Hey, percent 10% 12%. Those were high THC levels back then. So the fact that, you know, we’re smoking really high THC marijuana these days, and especially when they turn into concentrates you know and tinctures and whatnot. So it’s really easy, this point coming up to get your, your tolerance up very easily very fast. So you really want to microdose that stuff so that you don’t get your tolerance up and then blow the

Unknown 18:54

fun. Yes, it’s very important, because I have hit a very high tolerance level for meds so it takes a lot more medication for me to get the effects that I need. However, you can, you know, microdose, and set your you know like reset your system you could take a couple day break if you could, and it kind of resets your system so you’re the effects of the medicine will be greater when you go back to using and again. I found that if sorry I found if I use a product and I don’t use it again for a few weeks or a month that that product helps more when I go back to that product, so I tend to write down what works best for me which is important because then you can have a reference to go back to and say oh this really helped me on this day with my pain or my depression. And then it’s like a journal for your cannabis log.

Unknown 20:01

Pick it really makes a difference. It really makes a difference to know what your sweet spot is, and to understand how your medication is going to affect you and how you can manage it and have, because that all ties into you being able to afford it. At this time when there’s no insurance for it all. And there are ways to mitigate not only the cost of cannabis. At this time, but also the contamination in street weed. If you’re still stuck using street weed. So, and and just to be brief about it I guess you’re just going to get a little bonus point here because I can’t stand not telling you the secret to that is that, and I’m talking to the audience, of course, you don’t already knows this. Kids if you’re still smoking straight weed. Then, you’re definitely ingesting contamination into your delicate immune system, and that is just doing you a grave disservice to your body and your everything. And it’s going to be very costly for you. So, the way you can mitigate that is to microdose your street we definitely microdose use as little of it as possible. I mean the tiniest amount of it as possible, and then run, don’t walk to your nearest hemp store and buy some very very good third party lab tested clean hemp that has a ton of CBD in it and use that all day long. Until you absolutely have to microdose with your street weed again, that friends will not only settle all of that inflammation going on in your tummy and 80% of your immune system is found in your gut. So you’re going to be putting SAP on your immune system and getting rid of inflammation and feeling better in general, sleeping better calming down, all of that stuff just by using him that it costs less. If you go through a, you know, brick and mortar or an online store. That

Unknown 22:20

will

Unknown 22:23

present a third party lab test for you to make sure that that product is not contaminated with pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, you know, heavy metals and all of that stuff, mold and mildews, which kill cancer patients trying to find relief from the side effects of, you know, the traditional cancer therapies, and the. The autopsies proved that it was the Aspergillus mold that lined their poor lungs and killed them, not the cannabis cannabis has never killed anybody. It can be damned uncomfortable sometimes for some few people who don’t tolerate it but it doesn’t kill.

Unknown 23:08

No, definitely not. And you know there’s a lot of different ways that you can help yourself if you do have those reactions. Right,

Unknown 23:17

right. And that’s what we’re here to tell you.

Unknown 23:19

Yes, and that’ll be on another episode

Unknown 23:22

girl I just love talking to you, Fiona. I know go on for days. Hey, will you come back and hang out with me again and let’s do this again over and over and over.

Unknown 23:34

I will definitely come back with you again it’s

Unknown 23:36

a pleasure being

It’s been so much fun, we’ll, we’ll hook up again and do this next week. What

Unknown 23:45

Unknown 23:48

care, darling.

Unknown 23:48

Take care. Have a good day. Buh bye bye bye.

Host: Honey 26:57

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog at Cannaba Verum.com.
