Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored while educating my audience on the safe use of this live plant therapy, you should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet.  Using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider, cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hey everybody, thank you for joining me for the last episode in this series Gab, with my new friend Christine Stio, we have had the best time chatting about all things, Ganja mama. And so with that, we’ll look forward to seeing her again in the near future, but I hope you enjoy this last conversation in our great series. Thanks a lot, Christine, here we go.

Honey Smith Walls

I’m trying not to create more work for you but I want that book to come out of you real soon. you know,

Christine Stio 1:54

I’ve got two notebooks, filled with information already and it’s already there, working on another one so you know it’s just a matter of like sitting down and organizing, or,

Honey Smith Walls 2:05

you know how Pat Flynn, you may not be aware of who he is but he’s my business guru, and so he, he’s the one who taught me this foundation for passive income, which I’m laying, and that way and one of the first things you do is is do podcast, you write a book, and you start going on other podcasts, we get an email list, and, and you just hock your wares. I love that. That’s the basic, that’s the basic it, I love and I’m doing it with anchor podcast which is free,

Christine Stio 2:39

yes I love you know when I listen to your podcast you talk about anchor. I get so excited and I wrote it down because I’m like I’m gonna download anchor that the app.

Honey Smith Walls 2:48

I’m not kidding you, it is so easy and it’s so much fun and I needed that at this age, with all the other platforms that we have to learn for, you know going into a business, so much. It’s a lot, but it’s, aren’t we grateful to have them oh my gosh we can do it with all these new platforms, exactly.

Christine Stio 3:08

Honey, before I forget, and I say I need ginkgo biloba Ganden actually ordered it because of Dr Leah and I have to go pick it up at Walgreens.

Honey Smith Walls 3:17

I’ve got to go to Walgreens and pick up my meds too! I’m telling you we I think we may be from the same litter, I think so.

Christine Stio 3:27

You know I come down to Florida often because we used to live there. Yeah, I used to live in Lake Mary and celebration, so it’s still there, coming to see you.

Honey Smith Walls 3:39

I can’t wait. Oh girl, I’m only 40 minutes away from their Lake Mary is one of my all time favorite places. State is the coolest state and also my, my good, I call her my good friend, I hope someday to be as good a friend to her as she has been to me, Dr Genester Wilson-King is an OB GYN cannabis specialist in Lake Mary. She has taken me under her wing and I have. Oh god, I’ve got to confess this again. I sent her my manuscript for my book, it’s a big thing, well yes ma’am. Sure enough, and then I got a real big Smackdown. Oh yes, yes. And she was wonderful. She was gracious she was precious to me. And it was the most pleasing Smackdown I’ve ever had. I gotta say, And she was so right and she saved me from shame, because nothing I said I don’t think anything I said was inaccurate, it was my attitude, got it. Yeah, I get it. I didn’t know I didn’t know the importance of the cannabis doctor, a specialist for the patient I’ve been hanging out with scientists, they don’t have many patients right they, they have test tubes,

Christine Stio 4:54

yes they have, they they’re in a lab with tests too.

Honey Smith Walls 4:57

I still had a hippie attitude about what do you need a doctor for I know all this stuff I’ll tell you how to do it right. No team. Oh, it takes a team and I can’t do lab works I don’t know what’s the matter with your system I don’t know what blood work you’ve gone. I don’t know what handful of synthetic bills you’ve taken to put you in this position,

Christine Stio 5:14

right, right, so it does take a team and you know when somebody like your doctor is able to quote lay a SmackDown, and upload way that we all need constructive criticism, getting that, that she was the first to give it to me. But in a way that made you feel like you’re writing that communication

Honey Smith Walls 5:38

to shame. Yeah, I was so grateful. All I could do was, was send her back a tiny little note and said yep you saved me.

Christine Stio 5:47

Yeah, you know, it’s like thank God and thank God she did so many people are just, it’s just amazing. It’s amazing, like you just feel so good. Right.

Honey Smith Walls 5:59

Yeah, so. So all right, honey. I know your day is so busy and I’m, I promise I’m gonna let you go, but I knew this was gonna be a wonderful gab fest I’m so grateful to you.

Christine Stio 6:11

I am so grateful to be so grateful I found your podcast to begin with because of LinkedIn, then found Dr Leah, and I’m just so it’s beyond, I feel like I

Honey Smith Walls 6:24

know all of that you know I have a new BFF. Yay, Christine. Oh and I can’t wait for you to come down here I am. Right, right, so we’ll hook up when you come down and and BFF girlfriend. Oh my gosh, I seriously, we’re gonna, I anytime you want to text me now you’ve got my phone number I do thank you, and did oh yeah, so I can’t wait to hear more good on you when you have really great news about the business please let us know. I want to keep an eye on how you’re doing it right, so that other people in other states because our audiences nationwide I’m happy to report. Yeah, so

Christine Stio 7:08

right so able to help whoever needs my help. so I will start writing everything in a more organized way. Yeah, and that gentleman that you mentioned the business consultants.

Honey Smith Walls 7:18

Oh, I’m so glad you asked. Again, I wanted to tell you the way he taught me to organize my thoughts about a new book, a new business, a new idea, whatever it is, is with sticky notes go grab, go buy a bunch of different colored sticky cost you about $3 at the grocery store right right right and start throwing every single idea you have on those sticky notes, you’re going to start seeing a pattern, Oh this sticky note needs to go with that sticky note, oh this one needs to go over here with that right now that you see the pattern the clarity is going to begin. And what happened after I did that was at a huge release of frantic worry in my head about all those thoughts I was trying to keep right now they’re all written down, now they’re all in order. Now I understand the skeleton of the book I want to write. Now I understand the skeleton of the course I’m going to write. Now I understand the skeleton of those emails, I’m going to send out to entice you to buy my book, a man I love. So it’s simple as all get out and cheap as all get out the sticky note system really works for clarifying your business, your book, your course, your life, your outline your whatever it is, I love that, I did. And it just, it’s organizational it’s organizational scatter that anxiety off of any gives you your time back. Yes, that’s what you really want is time time that you manage in the best way to be with Aiden or your other kids or your parents or your business or whatever it gives you your time back. Amen. So I was really thrilled with that so his name is Pat Flynn, fly in and I’m so happy to plug him thanks for asking, and his, his line is his business thing is Smart Passive Income. So you know all of those, yeah Smart Passive income.com or Pat flynn.com, you know all those books I read and courses I took in cannabis. Every single one of those courses are now going to become an affiliate partner for me. I love I’m going to start telling all of our audience about where I went to school to get my knowledge, and they can too, and it’s going to cause them less to click on my button to go to that school. Right, they’re going to get a discount. Wow. Then, I’m going to get a kickback from that school that doesn’t cost the student anything, they get a discount. That’s amazing, that’s passive income, and you can do that too. With your book, and with any other item or, you know, or, or subject or thing that you think is valuable to your audience. Wow, well I’m good at connecting people with things I find they they’re all

Christine Stio 10:26

see there and I never knew about Smart Passive Income, right.

Honey Smith Walls 10:30

I did neither, um, I, I wasted. Well, I put myself in debt by about 30 grand. Please get it. Yeah, I mean for you to do, right, and I didn’t, I didn’t, I didn’t really have enough business acumen to understand how not to waste money.

Christine Stio 10:55

I get it, because, you know, being an educator. When I started my own daycare I went from just teaching the kids and being in a classroom, to running my own business and as I transitioned running my business, even though I was still teaching in my age group changed, but I was, I was running a business and all the different cost effective. Because, and you know, and I was, I’m a spender, so I’d be like, Oh, this party or that party or the kids see this toy right at this trampoline, oh I need to buy this for my yard, that I was like whoa, you know, what am I doing I’m a glue

Honey Smith Walls 11:32

all my good iPhones right, you know, say no, you know, I

Christine Stio 11:36

learned as I was doing it and it was such a great experience because I don’t have the VL best business mind I don’t. God didn’t give me those gifts, you know,

Honey Smith Walls 11:47

I was trying that way. Yeah, either was a Pat Flynn says, You just said it a second ago it was my own last, he says, Oh, you don’t have to know at all. You don’t have to know at all at all at one, all at the beginning, right and learn as you go and that’s what you just said you’re learning as you go, right, and that too has been a freeing concept for me. Yes. Yeah, I think, to learn it all first and then do it.

Christine Stio 12:16

Yeah, yeah, a lot of us do that and I think I’m starting a new venture and a new industry a lot of people are finding that anxiety of trying to post every day and try to do this and try to do that instead of just saying Okay wait, I can’t. If you can’t, you know, if you’re causing your anxiety to go through the roof and you’re not you’re worrying in your field. Your thoughts are racing, it’s, it’s defeating the whole purpose you might

Honey Smith Walls 12:41

as well just write, I live by a motto, called RJ quote are just, it’s Latin it means one foot in front of the other. Oh yeah, and do it the best that you can, yes, that’s. And so, when I get overwhelmed. I try to remember that motto, and what makes me. What is the most grounding aspect of my business by podcast, get back to it. Go back to your fundamental part of your business and do it the best that you can do it. Everything else you’ll get to it, we’ll get to, amen, amen. It’s

Christine Stio 13:19

what I call the flow state. Yes, you know, you gotta follow your heart and you know some days you don’t have the energy to be, you can’t post because you just don’t have that energy that day and that’s okay.

Honey Smith Walls 13:33

I’m glad you mentioned that, to forgive yourself a yeah so that’s huge. It’s huge, it releases the, the stress and the pressure, yes it does huge also CBD helps with stress.

Christine Stio 13:45

Yes, for THC and CBD therapy, no kidding because this without it, it me either, either I might even my perimenopause menopause, perimenopause symptoms, everything with my hormones, I don’t even need I used to be on a daddy patch.[1]  (1) I don’t even need it anymore, the CBD THC therapy. It’s a daddy patch of Daddy is like an estrogen patch you were to help with your like hormonal imbalance, while you’re going through perimenopause or menopause, okay, and it gave me all these awful side effects, terrible, terrible side. And so I was like gosh This stinks so I cut it in half, to see if half the dose would help. And that still gave me side effects so then I cut it in a quarter, and it was like, still not the best, so then I, then I got the medical card. Thanks to you and Doctor Leah, for Aiden. I helped Aiden and myself, because I’m microdosing (2), like a THC, CBD one to one ratio I microdose, I’m a vape pen. It’s a CBD THC, hybrid, and it’s amazing I love this it helps me with stomach aches and headaches and anxiety. Ain’t that amazing

Honey Smith Walls 15:03

all the stuff that we as humans have commonly

Christine Stio 15:06

Yes, and then I do one at nighttime for my pain so I can go to sleep in be pain free and I just micro dose again just a few little tiny inhales,

Honey Smith Walls 15:16

I gotta tell you, I stopped vaping. First of all, I’m, I’m an old hippie so I really like smoking pot, and the vape pen is so familiar because I used to be a smoker, too. Okay, of cigarettes. So I really liked that hand mouth action it’s fun and yeah the oral fixation thing. So the vape pen for me was a was a real trigger for that and I found that I overused it, and I already. Yeah, right. So, you know, vaping is a concentrate so you’re already getting quite a bit and then I was just really overusing it and wasting money and building my tolerance. Got it. So I went back to the leaf, and I’m just burning the leaf but then it wasn’t quite enough to keep me asleep at night, you know, when you, when you vape or when you smoke, you know, the leaf, it’s only gonna last a couple of hours, right, right, so I decided to get something I could DAB as well, a concentrate that’s a resin that you know just use a little tiny bit of shatter so I break a little piece off and it just looks like hard, you know, a tree rosin basically, and you break the little tiny speck off and stuff it in my pie between some marijuana, and, and then when I flick my lighter for my little onesy pipe. I’m not setting the fire right next to the the dab of shatter, so it doesn’t burn it. Yeah, it’s vaporizing from the heat of the marijuana burning in front of it, right instead.

Christine Stio 17:07

Oh my gosh, so that it was trial and error but you found what Yeah.

Honey Smith Walls 17:13

It’s so much fun to figure out new strategies yourself. In doing this, and knowing your body and knowing what helps. Yes, really. Yeah, to be in touch. I’m so glad you said that it’s a it’s a mindfulness process is, if you ignore that. You’re just, you’re just playing with, you’re just, you’re just using, you’re just using cannabis like a toy,

Christine Stio 17:38

right, and it’s going to be counterproductive because it’s not going to make you feel better because you’re not gonna understand

Honey Smith Walls 17:43

what which, which is making you feel better. There’s 500 compounds plus to try to figure out which one the terpenes terpenes

Christine Stio 17:56

terpenes are amazing, you know, that’s a whole nother conversation. The right terpenes the terpene profile that’s going to help your health. That’s why

Honey Smith Walls 18:06

That’s why I love hanging out with our scientists.

Christine Stio 18:09

I love listening them talk about terpenes it’s such a turnout, intelligence, the intellectual people don’t get it, but, like, intellectual turnout is a completely different thing, you know, when, when I listened to Zechariah Hildebrand, that one pad because I was talking about with Mark Eden, what my brain was buzzing.

Honey Smith Walls 18:33

I know, yeah, it’s a it’s like, it’s like an intellectual turn on, it is, I feel, I feel goosebumps from who goes, you feel like you’re floating on a cloud, the hairs on the back of my neck paws up. Yeah, it is like, that’s what like when you said the cannabis. You know what, I bet it’s an and amide. Oh I bats. Oh my gosh. Absolutely. Oh my gosh.

Christine Stio 18:58

And I think because we do the CBD THC therapy, I believe, we, we, entourage effect in our body is a little wild. And we experienced these things even more. It meant the funnest oh my gosh it’s so tiny I have to go because I have to go to an appointment, darling, I’m

Honey Smith Walls 19:15

sorry, I could talk to you. I could talk to you forever. I know, I know we will again okay.

Christine Stio 19:21

But honey, anytime you want to talk and not even about the podcast but just

Honey Smith Walls 19:27
