Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored, while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is honey Smith walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.
Hello My Friends,
You’re never done learning. If you’re lucky.
I had to read a book in preparation for an interview and I’m so glad I did. I hate reading. It bothers my eyes really badly… so I try to get the audible version of every book I can get my hands on now. Besides that, I abhor the thought of cutting down 20-80 year old trees for paper. But this book didn’t have an audible so I bought the eBook and was back at the misery of heavy lids, squinty-watery eyes and intractable yawning.
It took me two days to get through the page turner. His story was so familiar and hopeful and exciting and then perplexing and worrisome and finally raging disbelief and complete heartbreak. It doesn’t end there.
This man, this emergency room doctor from NY, grew a huge dream that he tried to fulfill in the hopes of helping real patients with a new therapy they already knew gave them relief, in a state out west that just went green.
A big opportunity in Montana presented itself to Dr. Michael Geci (Getsee) to come work as a locum tenen; a person who temporarily performs the duties of another doctor or clergyman… so says the Latin dictionary in the sky. My old Catholic Church used to fly a locum priest in from out of state on occasion.
Doctor Geci tells his story about getting the call and waking up to the truth… that new legislative problems which cockhold the industry also penalize the patient… and that facts don’t matter. What he doesn’t say out loud that I will… is the rampant corruption that serves the oligarchs and legislators in their pockets who would wish this industry away. But it’s already a massive machine not about to be stifled by liars. Religious or otherwise. Science pulled up their Superman panties and began defending the honor of cannabis. What’s the score? The liars are losing.
Doctor Geci will take you through the real reason to believe this product is medicine but when legislators and liars get together, the outcome in the past has been consistently bleak. Because when liars are believed over the presentation of scientific fact, then corruption reared it’s ugly head again and must be decapitated.
Apparently that’s easier said than done. This book I’m talking about is called “Pot Doc” by Michael Geci, MD and will surely open your eyes to the shenanigans of people and how disappointing even good friends can be at times, and hope in the good part of human nature to find a way back to balance. But he won’t leave you within despair. Even though you feel it towards the end, you’ll be heartened by the actions of the people. This story helps us understand how to look at the plant for the remedies it can provide instead of the lies and fear its opponents propagate.
I was surprised by a lot of his life, or rather, my own ideas of what a doctor’s life looks like. Certainly, more doors are open and available to him, but then, he sure was surprised when his clout didn’t matter! Still, he showed a lot of courage and fortitude in his fight for cannabis that didn’t go un-noticed or unthanked. He made a difference. And people learned from him and attitudes were changed. LOTS of attitudes were changed!
So I’m hoping to present an episode with Dr. Geci for you soon and he told me he’s working on another book about the chemistry of cannabis… I can’t wait! I know that sounds geeky but OMG, cannabis is so interesting and has over 500 compounds in it to play with! What lab rat wouldn’t welcome a new opportunity like that?
Break
Now I want to tell you about another book I’m reading by one of the leading historians of our day and currently the President of the Council of Foreign Relations, Richard Haass, called, “The World – A Brief Introduction”. The title totally sucked me in. It was exactly the information I was looking for to fill that void of knowledge.
I’m sure his name must sound familiar to you because he’s been in the news for the past 20 years or so doing the business of our nation’s diplomatic service through many presidents in time. Former Secretary of State, Madeleine Albright said,”This is the book that explains how the world really works, how it is changing, and why it matters. Just what every citizen and student needs to read.”
I’ve long complained about my weird private girls catholic education with so many holes in it… I have issues about education and what is taught. So these audible books have been filling in the very mysterious past of our world for me. The one thing I see that keeps repeating itself throughout history is the blatant corruption of man.
In the dark futile ages, wait… this IS a dark futile age! Hello Black Lives Matter and all the dead because of corruption of the mind and heart about guns. We simply must find a way to eradicate the corruption. It’s not right or fair and the majority of people just want to live in a fair and balanced world where the playing field is equal for everyone and people can increase their joy by caring for others and danger is limited to accidents of nature!
But I digress. Suffice it to say that this book on world history is so filled with disturbing thoughts that I have to re-listen to a lot of it. And then I have to mull those ideas over to understand the meanings and what happened as a result, before I can move on.
Yall know one of my favorite descriptive words is gobsmacked. The surprise and rage and wonder I feel reading this history leaves me little room to feel happy and confident about our future. But I haven’t gotten to the end of it yet either… and Richard Haass is still here helping us put some perspective on the national futile events happening from coast to coast.
Friends, take some time to read something that will inform and inspire you to help make changes in this world… our world… the only world we have…
Both of the books I mentioned today are contemporary and will provide new thoughts and actions about how we govern ourselves and who we choose to lead the way.
I hope you enjoy reading them both.
Before we go, I just want to remind everybody that all street weed is contaminated and so is every cannabis product on the market that does not have a 3rd party lab test attached to it.
How can I make a claim like that? Simple. I know how cannabis is grown from seed to sale. I know what’s in the soil…including heavy metals. I know what kind of pesticides, herbicides, and fungicides farmers use to maintain their grow. I know what all that contamination feels like as it’s poisoning your body. And I know what poisoning can lead to. And so do you. To ignore it is simply stupid.
How to avoid contaminated products? Buy only from trusted sources who 3rd party lab test all their products before sale and proudly display them for patients to see.
The point is, as history has shown us… that man cannot be trusted and everything must be verified and proven as factual. OK. We have the technology to do that. We can stamp a molecule and send people to Mars. I just wonder who gets to make up the new government up there….
Hey don’t forget to check out these two books, “Pot Doc” by Dr. Michael Geci, and “The World – A Brief Introduction” by Richard Haass.
Pax Vobiscum Yall.

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog at Cannaba Verum.com.
