I’ve been working with Equality Florida at this year’s state legislative session which goes for 60 days and also on a local level speaking for kids in Brevard County Schools where my own child often skipped class for other means of entertainment many moons ago. Kids already hava tough enough time trying to navigate this planet without also being fearful of daily emotional or physical pummeling from teachers and students alike about what they look like… and now because of how they feel inside as well.
We have always had to legislate good behavior to correct bad. Otherwise, some of the loudest most aggressive and obnoxious bullies will lead the sheeple and Germany already showed the rest of the world what a bad outcome that can be. We even have more current American examples I decline to mention.
I got tired of the civil war between the Red and Blue. But I wanted to help my own little community grow a better attitude of fairness and empathy and when Equality Florida came knocking for help… I jumped in.
I’m tickled to report a new family of friends have cropped up and we’re all having so much fun together working on local politics and safely attending important events, mostly by Zoom, but occasionally nearby when possible… Like I did the other day at a county school board meeting over children’s Transexual rights vs the feelings of adults pushing their own bigoted religious agendas and shouting repulsive slogans and words at tranny kids aged 11 to 17 walking into the public meeting. I was so embarrassed by those adult’s behavior to those kids they’d never seen before. It was appalling. And so were the despicable signs they carried with words no child should have to see or hear uttered at them.
Those class of people without empathy for the plight of a child who may be different from them are devoid of communing outside their belief system because that’s what they were taught. Different is somehow bad, evil, wrong, and sinful. That comes straight from the gospel of church that claims only their way is the right way.
Well I’m here to declare there are MANY right ways to live on this planet and that tired old ideology of divide and control has consistently shown failure to humanity in my opinion.
We must teach our humans to get past that. Embrace difference. Deny the mobility of hatred by embracing difference and change… in order to make our world better and survivable for all. And become Global Citizens.
I got my second Covid-19 vaccine so I’m feeling so much better about the world. And of course, the stimulus package passed so my future looks a little less worrisome.
So many of you had no paycheck protection at all. I hope you find all the relief you need to start again. Don’t forget about SBA loans that are turning into grants at this time. The whole money scene is changing. And they’re still not even talking about how opening cannabis will save the planet and inject piles of cash into the economy through reconstruction and reparations and new legal medicines that replace opioids and prison and addiction issues. Infrastructure can be renewed because cannabis can be manufactured into anything! They’ve already made an airplane from cannabis… cars and biofuel, too. We already know it can be used for cloth and rope and paper and food and medicine and water-filtration… because it’s been used for those things for thousands of years. But new technology will open unlimited possibilities. But not until they decriminalize the plant completely. You can’t trust whoever is in control of our government to knock off the corruption long enough to get much done! 100 years of this cannabis corruption and stunting the growth of an entire industry to prevent competition to paper, liquor, cotton, petroleum, and big Pharma. All those corporate entities could see what cannabis would do to their industries. The first car Ford built was out of cannabis and ran on cannabis bio-fuel. Why aren’t all our cars made from that now? It wasn’t because it didn’t work… it wasn’t because it was uneconomical or somehow unsuccessful… it was political corruption paid for by the corporate heads I just mentioned. All run by old white guys…. just sayin. There’s a lot of prejudice involved in the structure of this nation.

I’ve been reading a lot of historical books lately…. trying to understand. I just read “The Daughters of Kobani – a story of rebellion by a new tribe of females fighting against the Taliban… That whole issue of inequality is still visible in many countries by how women are forced to dress and behave. But when all the men and boys were taken from their town, it was the girls who stepped up to fight for their lives and the right to make their own decisions. They would rather die than go back to subjugation.
At 67, I’m glad I can use my voice over a zoom call to speak with my legislator about considering Bills for legislation to make our little local society work better for all.
But I’m still offended at the number of old white men in government who still have their wretched claws up my uterus trying to make my decisions for me about having a child or not. They send our children off to endless wars overseas without a second thought and do not want to allow the prospect of ending their stockpile of soldiers from women who don’t want to bear the life-long responsibility of another human. You old white men get your hands out of my what-what then we’ll talk about a bunch of other issues you don’t seem to have a grasp on reality about.
I’ve been watching and listening to Richard Haas, an American Diplomat, president of the Council on Foreign Relations since 2003, former Dir. of US Policy Planning for Dept. of State, and a close advisor to Secretary of State, Colin Powell. I’ve seen him for years on various news outlets like PBS and NBC and other places. He’s an amazing expert on history and just wrote a book called, “The World – A Brief Introduction”. He doesn’t really start at the beginning. We know all that. He actually starts around the First World War and gives you a lot to think about….. how we got to thinking about stuff now. It’s a little heavy, I listen while walking the dogs but honestly, I have to back it up and listen twice, a lot. And then I have to turn it off to mull it over for awhile. But it’s so juicy! And then I have to come back to the here and now. And it’s suddenly applicable to what we’re seeing in politics today. It helps us clarify what’s wrong and why… and even how to fix the problem. And I keep getting the same message from all the new history books and memoirs I’m reading which is, “Don’t Forget!”
Humans have a short memory… do you know the history of Stonehenge? Exactly. And we fill our minds with looking ahead…. but we must remember our failures in order to avoid repeating them. So when we finally have the strength to call out the wrongs of this society, we must also lift our voices to protect our future from the past behaviors that harmed us. We must remember.
There are thousands of years of written information about cannabis and modern science is on it like a hound dog now. Documentation of Random Control Trials, the gold standard in medical testing is already proving the medicinal veracity of this live plant.
What I’m saying is that it is a trustworthy plant that is good for the general population of humans and animals. It is not completely harmless, meaning, there are some people on the planet who will have an adverse reaction to using cannabis. But those people usually use too much cannabis instead of titrating small incremental doses as recommended by all cannabis specialists I know.
And during this particular era of the marijuana movement in the U.S., the most important aspect of buying cannabis products is to make certain it comes without contamination. Because as a live plant, it has a multitude of contaminants to battle that comes from the way it’s grown and harvested to the products used for containers and the delivery lipids used as carriers of the cannabis oil into your system. There are insects, bacteria, molds, mildews, herbicides, fungicides, pesticides, and heavy metals from the core of our planet. So my point is that it’s Buyer Beware!! There are not nearly enough proper regulatory agencies looking out for our clean cannabis products. So small companies who may take a cheaper route to build their cannabis product may not have considered the dangers in why that product is cheaper to begin with… like cheap steel from china that flakes off into the product. Research and Development is costly. So naturally, a larger company with the finances to check those products and buy medical grade components will have more success relieving their patients without extraneous issues.
I say it all the time from my soapbox… The most important concern you have in purchasing cannabis is to make sure it’s clean. Your sad little immune system you’ve been abusing with a terrible diet and a handful of synthetic pills for years and years will not be able to tolerate an extra coating of aspergillus mold on the inside of your lungs. At least that’s what the autopsies said of those cancer patients who used street weed to alleviate the nauseating side-effects of cancer treatment.
So whenever you purchase cannabis, the most important question you have to ask is, “Show me the 3rd party lab test on this product?” And if they don’t have one, put it down and find something else. The contamination inside that product is not what you want or need and there are other companies who sell clean products. You wouldn’t buy contaminated milk. Don’t buy contaminated cannabis. Ask for what??????
