Hey my friends. Today we’re speaking with a Woman in Weed named Deborah Lee MacDonald. And she works for a cannabis company called Kannaway spelled with a K.
K A N N A way. Its tagline is “The World’s Premier Cannabis Company”. And when you see their website, you’ll understand why they’re able to say that.
I’m I’m a little reticent to tell you that I had some wonderful product right before this interview. So you’re going to hear me turn into Chatty Cathy. But wait for Deborah’s explanation of this company and what they do. I really, really like this company and this girl, and they’re going to come to Florida. Soon. So hang on, get through all of my blabber and listen to what Deborah has to say today. Let’s go have some fun.
Intro
Honey Smith Walls 0:00
Welcome to season three of the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored while educating my audience on safe use of this live plant therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis. What’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet.
Using cannabis mindfully as medication is a different concept in Western healthcare philosophy, specifically the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and reconsider. The information you’ll find here comes straight from the scientists and clinicians doing the work and reporting their findings in real time through various live online outlets. The scientific truth of cannabis is finally getting out and is wide open for all to see at respected medical sites like www.pubmed.gov and JAMA, the Journal of American Medical Association (jamanetwork.com).
I’m right there in the thick of it with all those titans of medicine as a fly on the wall. Because I’m not a doctor. I didn’t go to med school. I did take dozens of private cannabis courses offered by cannabis expert scientists online over the past few years and slowly began to understand the bigger picture. Well, I can talk to those medical professionals about cannabis all day long and their patients and hopefully inspire them to research the facts as we know them today.
Cannabis is an amazing alternative in health remedies that can reportedly alleviate typical disease problems and troubling side effects caused by synthetic prescriptions. This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman… not a doctor… not a scientist. Raised by nuns and wolves in the verdant cattle pastures of the Oklahoma oil fields. I’m here to amplify the truth of this great big story and language of cannabis in historical, political and scientific terms… so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you choose to ingest.
Seg 1
Hey, it sounds like I might have Deborah. Do I have you?
Deborah Lee McDonald 3:43
Yes, yes, you do. Yes. Sorry.
Honey Smith Walls 3:45
Hi honey. How are ya?
Deborah Lee McDonald 3:47
Great. How are you Honey?
Honey Smith Walls 3:49
I’m just fine. Oh, I know. I call everybody honey, isn’t that the silliest thing? But everybody wants to call me that. So you know, it just seems fair.
Deborah Lee McDonald 3:59
Yeah, I mean, why not? Right.
Honey Smith Walls 4:02
Why not? If we can, why not?
Deborah Lee McDonald 4:07
That’s exactly right.
Honey Smith Walls 4:08
I’ve had so much fun with my name. I named my kid Babe and he’s 45 years old now.
Deborah Lee McDonald 4:13
Oh my gosh, that’s so cool.
Honey Smith Walls 4:15
Oh, he had to live with that all his life. And I’m telling you he was the cutest little boy. He’s a darling man too. But he was the cutest little boy. Everybody loved calling him Babe-. Yeah, anyway, they couldn’t figure that out of course and then I didn’t give him a middle name. So you know I’m Oklahoma common and here I am. I was a Smith. Smith kid. So Oh, but it turned out to be right anyway. Oh my goodness. I’m enjoying some real good cannabis and I think it just turned me into Chatty Cathy dear.
Deborah Lee McDonald 4:51
Excuse me. Oh, sorry.
Honey Smith Walls 4:55
Cough. Cough puff. No. Anyway,
Deborah Lee McDonald 5:01
So but what you’re doing? I mean, I’m in the cannabis industry too. So I wanted to see what you were up to and see if there’s anything we can help each other or whatever, you know,
Honey Smith Walls 5:11
That’s delightful and that’s what I love about this business. People are willing to help. People are willing to help and share information that’s that’s the glorious part about this industry is that even though we have been prevented from obtaining truthful information about this live plant Hmm, it’s still coming to life. It has its own communication and path and I think humanity cannot stand in its way.
Deborah Lee McDonald 5:48
Mm hmm. Exactly. Well, so how did you How long have you been doing this? And when did you get into like, what got you into it?
Honey Smith Walls 5:56
Well, I’ve got a little story about going sailing for a few years with my beloved and catching a bug, and coming home and I’m trying to find, you know, relief for whatever that bug was and it just sort of turned into arthritis and IBS and the Epstein Barr thing, you know, chronic fatigue and just constant nausea, losing energy. And then finally, you know, I’ve been we’ve been back on to land for many years. And the doctors had just spoon fed me, you know, prescription after prescription, and never found any real thing to be able to call whatever was going on with me. Right and I just started trying to use cannabis again to quell the the nausea and and just to help me feel better, I’d lost all my energy. I was headed for a wheelchair. I had a band I stopped playing with the band. We stopped rehearsing I stopped playing music at my you know, for my own pleasure in my own home on my own time. I was going downhill and I felt it and there was some little voice some little thing whispering and it was my genes telling me in no uncertain terms. It was saying: “you’re going to die if you don’t do something”.
Honey Smith Walls 7:25
And shit that scared me. And I could see you know, I’d stopped driving. And my husband was doing all the everything and oftentimes he was even feeding me because I did not have the energy to lift a spoon. So right so it got serious and very scary and I was still a young woman I you know, considerably in my prime. Yeah. And I had a few friends who knew a few people who got a little pot and oh, hell yes, that made me feel better and then I you know, I just spent the next few years using the same legacy dealer who didn’t have his product third party lab tested and it had all kinds of contamination in it that contributed to my downfall. Oh, gosh. Yeah. And then as if, you know, bringing the need to fruition, Florida changed hats and and legalized cannabis. So I got a card and instantly felt better and saw this commercial on TV. I mean, it the timing could not have been more perfect. And I’ve been saying this lately, when the student needs, the teacher appears. Right. And that’s what happened. I saw this ad about Sativa University in Orlando of all places, and I picked up the phone and and got started learning about cannabis from them. And then I activated all kinds of little, private courses that I could find from scientists all over the United States and then outside the US and and began studying and from the Technion Institute in Israel, and you know, all their stuff out there. Well, Dr. Mechoulam discovering illuminating THC and the endocannabinoid system of receptors and all of that jazz so. You know, I’ve got this this incredible library of cannabis knowledge inside of me that really needs to get out. And I was trying to do audiences, you know, stage events in right local park senior centers and was going around the county doing that, and Pandemic struck.
Mm hmm.
And so I just had to figure out a way to get my information out there. Guess, what I found? I found that there was this platform called Anchor and these things called podcasts. And, you know, I’m an older woman, I was like, What’s a podcast? And, and what’s a platform? You know, and, and what, practically how do I work the app you know, little not frail me but nervous about technology just a little bit? Because it got away from me. I used to not be afraid of technology, and then I didn’t play with it for a long time and everything changed. That was like, Oh, God, I don’t know thing about technology now. And, you know, I’m a little older and the learning curve is was gonna be slow. I was afraid, but not with this particular platform called Anchor. And I’m happy to to talk about it because A it’s free, B it is so easy. Even I could do it and C, I’ve been doing it for three years. Now. I’ve got a over Well, I’ve got 150 episodes coming up. And so I I started out just trying to get my message out and then I I started meeting a few people and invite them on a, you know, on my on my show for a little Chitty chat and lo and behold, I think I really found my favorite niche, which is talking to the medical professionals in the cannabis industry. And all those people who are raising this industry up. Every shop owner who’s dealing in cannabis, every dispensary type that is using the product and handing it over to somebody else. Every farmer that’s growing from seed to sale. I want to know what’s happening in this industry to be able to enlighten my audience because what I found is that the people who I’m appealing to are about my age. They apparently like the way I talk even though I’m just an old country girl hick from Oklahoma and, and and have an equal amount of experience in time in Arkansas. So I really am a farm girl at heart and and, and it counters everything intuitively else about me because I’m an educated, complicated, opinionated woman at this point in my life so that’s what I’m doing. I am podcasting. The message about what everybody else is doing and trying to keep it on a level where people who are my age can understand, you know, the whole picture and make decisions for themselves and learn where to go. I’m trying to teach the patients how to fish. Mm hmm. You know, not just serve them the product.
Deborah Lee McDonald 13:29
Right, right. Exactly.
Honey Smith Walls 13:32
So there’s a lot to learn about that.
Deborah Lee McDonald 13:35
Yeah, yeah, absolutely.
Honey Smith Walls 13:38
How about you?
Deborah Lee McDonald 13:39
Oh, my goodness. Yeah. So are these podcasts that you’re recording? So everything is going to be online that we’re recording?
Honey Smith Walls 13:46
Yes, and if there’s you know, if there’s any hiccups, maybe we should get knocked off by Wi Fi, then I would just send you another text message and say, you know, let’s jump back on so you know, the technology even it’s just very cool. And I don’t have to do hardly anything for these. I used to be real goofy about producing my shows and and overthinking the process. But this app makes it so easy for you and and it’s just it’s just a joy to be able to get all of this out of me. Because it’s so important. Everybody needs to learn this stuff.
Deborah Lee McDonald 14:33
So true. I just noticed that with this is recording my name is spelt wrong. So I don’t know how that happened. If I would have put that in there by mistake.
Honey Smith Walls 14:42
D O R A hy right. Yeah, that’s what it says. Yeah, yeah. Yeah, no, don’t worry about that. So so what I do with that Deborah is my business is called Cannaba Verum, LLC. Cannaba. Verum is Latin for cannabis truth. And so I have a website that that talks about, oh, you know, what I’m trying to do. And this podcast is to direct people to my website. I I intend to do a little email marketing, you know, that sort of thing. But quite honestly, I have not gotten there. I I’ve had my head so buried in books, it’s really hard to find the time to do that sort of thing. When I’m, I really need it’s so I get up at, you know, like, five o’clock every morning and start listening to the scientists. And then I start my day, and then my head is all filled with the newest stuff that’s happening in real time around the world with cannabis. And I get to regurgitate that you know, a little while later, however, I want to. It’s just a remarkable spot to be and quite frankly, I’d love it if somebody would find me and utilize me this way. You know, for for a nice sponsorship of some kind and instead you know, instead of me having to divide my time up even more to go figure out the email marketing thing. Because with email marketing, you really have to have something to sell, and I’m not selling anything. I’m just, I’m just trying to teach about cannabis and you know, the other option to email marketing thing would be a way for me to make some money on it by creating something to sell, such as a book, which I’ve done, but it’s just a manuscript and currently under peer review, so I don’t know if it’s, you know, don’t know if it’s ever gonna come might have to write another book and place it that that’s more storytelling and you know, not so concerned about facts and figures. And, yeah, but you know, might just leave all of that stuff to the doctors and then just tell my little story, like I’m telling you and everybody else but this is just me and what I’m doing in the industry and the people I’m meeting Deborah are so smart. So hard working, so committed to changing our society and our whole world, so that people will find relief that they have been lacking, with the inception of westernized synthetic medications. So, you know, that’s just a whole different philosophy. And I’m not saying that it isn’t needed and useful in the right circumstances. We definitely are grateful to have Western synthetic medicines when we need them. Yeah. But they’ve been they’ve been overworked by some corrupt oligarchs in the biz and you know lalalalala that’s… I love talking about those dirty white bastards so, um, you know, I can sing their naughty song all day long too. But really, what I want to do is shine a light on the new work coming out by these amazing scientists, and tell their truth, you know, horseshit and let the journalist go talk, you know, tell the horseshit stories on those naughty bastards who have gotten us here. But you know, lets us talk about the truth that we’re finding in science and, and uplift that so that’s where my mission is, and I I have never been happier in my life ever, ever. I sailed on a boat for five years with the man of my dreams. And I have to say maybe that was equally as happy. Being in this industry and doing what I’m doing is is the really the epitome of my my dreams and my life, my life work to be helpful. To somebody,
Deborah Lee McDonald 19:12
You know, awesome. Well, that’s definitely what this world needs for sure. So that’s great.

Honey Smith Walls 19:21
Hey, my friends, I want to give you a tip about somebody I know and trust who can give you the help you need. Dr. Anthony Mazo is a highly rated neurology specialist here in Melbourne, Florida, with more experience in headache, epilepsy, and HIV issues than other doctors in this area. Dr. Mazo was the first clinician to study the cannabis plant and become a medical marijuana physician. In Melbourne when it was finally legalized in Florida in 2016. His understanding of the mechanism and effects of this live Plant Therapy will set you on the path to relief in no time. Dr Mazo is not quick to prescribe traditional synthetic chemicals. When he knows that gentle cannabis will likely give the relief that you’re seeking. I know this to be true because I had to see him for my own old lady neuropathy issues. He did not prescribe the usual synthetic stuff. He told me to go get a particular kind of cannabis instead and use it in a specific way to find relief. And that is what every doctor in America should have in their little black bags. He also doesn’t know that I’ve made this little commercial for him, so be sure and tell him where you heard about him. Just tell him honey Sencha he’ll get a kick out of it. His clinic details will always be in my show notes for you. It’s the Brevard neuro Center. Dr. Anthony Mazo, MD his phone number is area code 321-733-2711 And he’s at 315 East NASA Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida. Dr. Anthony Mazo a great friend to all of us.

Honey Smith Walls
So how did you come into this industry?
Deborah Lee McDonald 0:00
Well, actually, I’m I am selling a product. I’m a brand ambassador representative for a leading company. And
Honey Smith Walls 0:09
Please tell us all about it. I’m happy to say that you’re doing.
Deborah Lee McDonald 0:14
Yeah no, it’s really, really exciting. And I’m actually associated with medical and health professionals. And one of the things I’m doing right now is we have Dr. Stuart Titus and Dr. Peter Verdegem speaking in Florida, and I realized you’re in Florida, so I don’t know if it would work out or not, but these two gentlemen are amazing. Dr. Stuart Titus has actually spoken at the World Health Organization. He’s helped change laws or at least move them towards having just the hemp plant it’s where I’m really working with the CBD from hemp, and those cannabinoids and so it’s it’s just been like amazing what he’s done. And so I partnered with this company over two years ago, they have been around since 2009. Their parent company’s called Medical Marijuana Inc. And then our distributor arm is called Kannaway with a K. Maybe you’ve heard of it.
Honey Smith Walls 1:07
I’ve seen that company I have I have and I wouldn’t be surprised if I don’t have some swag from Kannaway. Probably really? Yeah. From, you know, a conference or something. Anyway, please…
Deborah Lee McDonald 1:19
Yeah. So really, I think we’re about six years in right now. So when we first started six years ago, we were just educating people on CBD, the difference between CBD and marijuana and how this can help and how it’s non psychoactive and so on and so forth. And then just recently, we did add some different products to our line that are, you know, quite outstanding, but at this point, I just wanted to share with you that our medical and health program in Florida is something we’re super excited about because so many health professionals want to get on board with CBD, but they all don’t know what to do about it and how to go about it. Right. Right. That’s what we’re able to do is through this symposium on March 16, is help them with that and then Yeah,
Honey Smith Walls 2:08
Where’s it going to be? I’m already excited.
Deborah Lee McDonald 2:11
It’s in Fort Lauderdale. And
Honey Smith Walls 2:13
it’s only about 40 minutes away from me.
Where are you?
I’m in Melbourne, I’m maybe an hour away. I’m in Melbourne on the East coast and
Space coasts and we Fort Lauderdale. And so Oh, definitely I want that link and register. Will you be going too?
Deborah Lee McDonald 2:33
Yes, I’m going to be there for sure. So we have a whole slew of people coming in but it’s it’s quite the quite the thing. It is designed specifically for people that have clinics and you know, want to get out here to to their patients and that kind of thing. So definitely and then I also have a another event March 12 in Orlando. And that’s where Dr. Peter Verdegem will be speaking, which might be if that’s better for you, you would meet one of the doctors.
Honey Smith Walls 3:01
It fantastic. Yeah, thrilled.
Deborah Lee McDonald 3:03
Yeah, yeah. So yeah, we’re very excited about it. We are in like, we’ve moved so much in the way of putting it out there all over the world. We’re already in 45 different countries, and how I got to seeing a post it was with Dr. Cody Pierce. Peterson you follow him? I don’t Yeah, I don’t know him personally, but I certainly just love love what he’s posting and the education behind what he’s, he’s bringing to help people.
Honey Smith Walls 3:30
I know him…Yeah, I’m so excited about it and he can just talk about the endo cannabinoid ohm all day long. He’s so precious.
Deborah Lee McDonald 3:39
And it’s so funny how so many people… and you know this… don’t know about the endocannabinoid system, and how we’re, you know, deficient in the right you know, CBDs and and whatever. Like, I know you’re more into probably the marijuana side of things. But, you know, both are so helpful for everyone, you know, in the particular ways that they’re meant to be for particular, health issues or even if you don’t have health issues,
Honey Smith Walls 4:07
That is the truth. Yeah. Well, I am thrilled that you and I have gotten together for a little chat and I confess, I’d forgotten where we met. So I’m glad it was. I consider that my science tribe and I love them. And I’m delicate with them. And I’m, I’m humbled by them all. Dr. Michael Geci from New York, Dr. Alan Ao, a pharmacist doctor up in New York as well. Dr. Barry Gordon down in Venice has one of the most stellar clinical medical marijuana clinics I have ever, ever, ever, ever been to. Wow. And I just wish all physicians who are interested in coming into the cannabis path as well could see the his setup. It’s It’s extraordinary. And he handholds the patient from the moment they walk in the door until the lessons have been learned period, however long that takes and so it’s really a wonderful… and he was like a 30 year ER doctor, you know, and so he’s just got everything compartmentalized so beautifully. So comically, he’s adorable and funny. And it just puts everybody at ease because you know most patients come into a marijuana clinic or a medical marijuana clinic with all kinds of predisposed ideas right right that have been propagandized in so many ways whether they realize it or not. Yeah, exactly. So it’s helpful to have a very confident Doctor Who knows what he’s talking about of the compounds within the plant and how to help guide a patient through the processes of becoming their own Alchemist, which is really what we have to do. I mean, that’s the kind of secret peek behind the curtain and they don’t talk about too much. We really have to learn how to make that plant work for us, for ourselves, because they’re by so individual, and we’ve all taken you know, we’ve all got different bugs in our belly, so Exactly. You know, it’s a wild ride.
Deborah Lee McDonald 6:29
Yeah, for sure. For sure. Well, this is awesome.
Honey Smith Walls 6:33
I love what you’re doing. I love what you’re doing. So wonderful and, and these conferences that are coming up, if you would send me links to them or any of your promotional stuff I am I’d be thrilled to put it up on my site and promote it for you all as well because it’s very important. And I certainly want to register and go to and see you.
Deborah Lee McDonald 6:59
That would be great. We should definitely meet in Orlando on the 12th because, yeah, a really great event too. And then we’ll have the other one on the 16th but I’ll definitely have you familiarize yourself with all of them. But yeah, for sure when you’re super cool. I appreciate you being interested in it and wanting to hear more and all of that. So, you know, you never know how we can possibly work together or maybe you know, there’ll be some different interests and people that you know that might want to get sort of involved still overdoing? Yeah,
Honey Smith Walls 7:30
right. A big mouth. I’m a cheerleader, you know, a farm girl cheerleader for everybody up there on stage and I just love helping other people. Learn about things that will give them relief and joy I’m a musician too, so I’m often on stage with my band, and we’re kind of weird. We play ancient music from the 12th and 13th 14th centuries. Oh, wow. Early music and my band’s name is the Medieval Gypsies really just a bunch of old fart friends that like to dress up and go hang out. Play music, be silly together. We have a great time. We’re just a band Old, old, old gypsy musicians. Yeah, no way. You know, this thing about cannabis and in so many ways. Especially as an entertainer. And as a podcast host. I get jitters. I get jitters in my tummy still. You wouldn’t. You wouldn’t know it to see me or or you know, but my closest friends know when I’m all jittery right before a show or right before a gig and using cannabis appropriately is so wonderful to calm all of that anxiety and nervousness and that’s what I do now.
Deborah Lee McDonald 8:55
So awesome.
Honey Smith Walls 8:59
The first hemp CBD product I ever had was a popsicle right after a conference and I had to drive home in five o’clock Miami traffic and it was torrential downpour all you know pre hurricane rains. Oh, when there were wrecks on every side of me and I was in the middle of you know, like 12 lanes, and ordinarily I would have been hiccuping sobbing through that thing because it would have scared the bejesus out of me. But I was calm and thinking to myself, Oh my God, look at that wreck. Oh my God, look at that wreck. Oh my God, why am I not freaking out? And it was because I ate a popsicle that had 30 milligrams of CBD in it. Before I left that Miami conference. Wow. Yeah, I didn’t I just you know I always knew that the medical marijuana thing and the THC thing could you know the happy high and also give you creativity and also love lalalalala. I really had never experienced the magnificence of hemp to calm that anxiety to calm your nerves. It was amazing.
Deborah Lee McDonald 10:28
I love it. We just launched about a year ago. Another cannabinoid called CBG.
Honey Smith Walls 10:36
Which is what all the scientists keep talking about. Oh, tell me all about your product.
Deborah Lee McDonald 10:40
Oh my gosh, it’s a tincture and it just helps with all of that. It’s basically helps with your mood. So and for everybody. It’s a little bit different but just exactly what you were saying is it will help to relieve that that… get you calm, you know and keep you focused and all of that. We also launched CBN for sleep. And yeah, fabulous as well. So we want to be you know, first companies to do that. And so it’s really just, you know, flying off the shelves with you know, our typical CBD, but also now our CBG and CBN. So
Honey Smith Walls 11:17
I’ve been… I’m sorry, but I’ve been looking for CBN and CBG Wow. In dispensaries around here. And I have about five dispensaries within 20 minutes of my driveway. So I am a lucky lucky lucky lucky girl. Yes, you know, you can’t get the same product twice. That you know I shop around by the time I go back to the you know the one over there. They’ve changed their product line are they they’ve their formulas or whatever. So it’s just real hard for a patient to be an alchemist. But you’ve got a product that I could probably get by mail.
Deborah Lee McDonald 11:56
Absolutely. It’s all drop shipping and all the COAs are there with the triple lab testing all of the details that you need are totally, like transparent on our website. So I’ll send you my website and you can check out all of the ingredients and everything else that we have going on. And yeah, we’ll we’ll definitely, you know, get all the information about that.
Honey Smith Walls 12:15
Where’s that? Where’s the company out? Of where are you?
Deborah Lee McDonald 12:19
Okay so our company is out of San Diego, our head office. Our farms are certified organic farms out of the Netherlands. We actually created our own equipment because there wasn’t anything there. So we did all of that and then…
Honey Smith Walls 12:35
Is it is it indoor? Is it indoor grow in the Netherlands?
Deborah Lee McDonald 12:38
There’s no summer is out. A lot of it is outside. So yeah, you would see like I’ll send you some videos. You’ll see what we’ve got going on. Yeah. And then. So we have then the raw materials come over from there and then we have our manufacturing you know facility and all of our testing is triple live testing done here in the US so it’s really really powerful what we’re doing. So you know, you’re a great person to get to know about this because you’ve got all of this, you know access to everything basically, right? You need to know what’s going on. Right?
Honey Smith Walls 13:11
Well, do you ever have an opportunity to speak or listen to Dr. Nick Schrader from the Netherlands he’s he’s also he’s a friend of Cody’s Dr. Peterson’s and, and he teaches us a lot too, but Oh, I heard I heard the scientist saying that. CBN; cannabinol is actually much better for keeping you asleep than for getting you to sleep. Yeah. Have you found that to be true? Yes. And also you said the magic words that my audience is very familiar with COAs… the certificate of analysis because I I preach and preach and preach and preach and preach about contamination that Yeah, yeah. So Oh, yeah. Huge thing.
Deborah Lee McDonald 14:02
It’s so incredible. How many you know, companies are out there and products out there that don’t have what they say is in the bottle. And that’s very disturbing. And a lot of people don’t realize that they’re maybe not getting results because there’s not enough in there or there’s not the right thing or it’s contaminated or it’s doesn’t have the pureness to it. So I get pretty, pretty passionate about that too, because I’m so big on health and wellness.
Honey Smith Walls 14:24
I do too. It’s my whole soapbox thing. It was it was the contamination that that brought me so low and so down and so close to death from the weed that I was smoking… all street weed is contaminated. I just say it out loud. And you know, God loved the legacy Sellers but they they don’t lab test their stuff. So too many of us are already on a handful of pills, that all that contamination is just adding to the side effects and the problems. So I’m truly an old fart advocate and want them to be you know, I get that name for my husband, who by the way, all of his siblings call him His Royal Hiney since he was a baby, and he’s 89 years old now. So we still call him His Royal Hiney. Anyway, yeah, I have an affinity for older people. And now I are one.
Deborah Lee McDonald 15:29
Oh, yeah. Well, we’re all gonna get there, right?
Honey Smith Walls 15:32
Yeah, you know, and I’m still happy to be on this side of the dirt so and to know that there are incredible companies like the one that you’re working with Deborah, that’s, I’m so proud and thank you for being another woman in weed that we want to emulate and learn from. This is great. It’s hard enough as a woman to live on this planet in this man’s world. But cannabis is such an introspective, fabulous plant that has true communicable communicating genes and atoms. And molecules in it. It speaks to us not only on a physical level, but on a spiritual one, too. And the scientists had been teaching me the scientists teaching me how integral that cannabis is to our spiritual needs. Because Absolutely, it just turns us inward, and helps us think and calms our mind. And calms our pain.
Deborah Lee McDonald 16:43
So true. So true. Oh my gosh. Well, it’s been just real pleasure. Speaking with you, Honey. You go by Honey, right?

I do. I’ve gone by Honey since my parents brought me home from the hospital and gave me into the arms of my two year old sister, who called all her baby dolls, Honey Honey. So I just became her new toy. And everybody else called me that too. So that’s what it’s been all my life. Awesome. And I want to say to you, thank you. Thank you for sharing all of this and please, please, please send me pictures. And send me promo. And I’ll put this lovely information up on my site and on my social media as well. And you and I will hang out together real soon when you come down to Florida.
Deborah Lee McDonald 17:34
Okay, super, and I’ll send you the info and see if you can join us in Orlando for the first one anyway.
Deborah Lee McDonald 17:40
Count on it. It sounds like so much fun. All right. Take care. Okay, take care. Thank you.

Hey, friends, I want to remind you of my new clubhouse room called Rising Cannabis Connections on Mondays at 8am. Eastern. There we explore the spirit of humans, which medical scientists believe is key to our happiness and how communing with cannabis can help that process of recovery in mind, body and soul. I’ve been looking for a live outlet to speak with you personally and Clubhouse affords us exactly that. It’s like live radio, but you’re in a live audience as well. So you can ask questions and even come up on stage and tell your story if you’re inclined. This new medium of communication brings live connection back to us. You can just be a fly on the wall. Or you can get immediate response from your own burning questions. Rising Cannabis Connections airs every Monday morning at eight o’clock am Eastern on that new app called Clubhouse. So be sure and get the Clubhouse app, then join our Rising Cannabis Connections room. We’re having a ball and learning all about this amazing plant and the culture we live in around it. Join my guest hosts and me on the brand new Clubhouse room called Rising Cannabis Connections. Mondays, eight o’clock am Eastern. See you there.

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls about the importance of using verifiably safe products. The process of getting a diagnosis from your family doctor and taking your records to a cannabis specialist can lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for those issues. Otherwise, you’re just your own guinea pig looking for answers without any foundational knowledge or ability to determine the best choices or strategies.
To find a qualified cannabis expert in your area… visit www.cannabisclinicians.org.
It is a national society of cannabis experts and you’ll see that link down in my show notes.
Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system who already has inflammatory issues like arthritis, IBS, fibromyalgia or worse.
Subscribe to the Cannaba Verum podcast and become part of a project to understand the effects of cannabis on the public. Your anecdotal testimony is priceless to me. Medical citations are posted on my podcast blog when you visit CannabaVerum.com. That’s CannabaVerum.com. Hey, and one last thing… Would you take an extra second to give my podcast a Like and Review? It’s like Bitcoin crack for the algorithms. Thanks so much. Hey, I hear the cows calling.

Cannaba Verum is Latin for Cannabis Truth. Sourcing factual information about cannabis hasn’t always been easy for a variety of reasons. However now because of modern innovations, it is. My sources are from leaders in cannabis science like:
Roger Adams, U.S. Organic Chemist who isolated the structure of CBD,
Raphael Mechoulam, Israeli Organic Chemist who isolated the structure of THC,
Ethan Russo, Dir R&D International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute
Dustin Sulak, DO – my favorite doctor at healer.com, teaching the art of Cannabis Healing to the world, and other industry greats like:
Rev. Dr. Kymron DeCesare, Ed Rosenthal, Jack Herer, Michael Backes, and Michael Pollen and so many more… plus I use classical sites like: PubMed.gov, JAMAnetwork.com, ResearchGate.com. I listen to several daily podcasts to keep up with the latest cannabis news across the nation and throughout the world like: Dr. Codi Peterson et al on The Cannigma Podcast, MJTodayDaily.com and MarijuanaMoment.net. I trust the CBDProject.org and CannabisScienceTech.com. I watch the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) at: thecannabisindustry.org and many more like: NCIA’s Cannabis Industry VOICE (CannabisRadio.com)
Over past episodes of Cannaba Verum, we’ve listened to some amazing scientists and medical professionals talk about their discoveries and patient successes as hundreds of questionable compounds rise to the public grasp. I am especially interested in the pharmacists movement becoming an integral part of this new medicinal choice.
Watch this machine roll into action through conversations with pharmacy doctors all over the nation like Dr. Leah Johnson out West and Dr. Alan Ao up North. There are so many more but these two have come on my show to explain the situation and it’s fascinating.
You’ll find Citations available on my podcast blog at cannabaverum.com
PS: Helping society get past the fear of using cannabis will be a lifelong journey for me. This industry is just opening up and most patients and doctors are seriously cannabis naive and need help understanding where to turn for trustworthy information.
If you need help opening that cannabis discussion with your family doctor, please reach out and grab the Dear Doctor Letter I wrote for this exact purpose. It will explain your decision to try cannabis and ask for their help in monitoring your labs and progress. It will also show them where they can find medical research on the subject of your diagnosis and the effects of cannabis.
You’ll find that letter at cannabaverum.com

Show Notes:
This will be a live demonstration of what using a potent compound can do to your motormouth. I medicated before this interview and apparently I thought I was on HER show being interviewed! Friends, Deborah McDonald was courageous in her valiant effort to get past my tongue and tell you about the famous cannabis company she works with and their new product line… But I started talkin and hardly came up for air! Please take a look at this amazing leader in the industry of cannabis products at the link provided below. We also talk about a serious cannabis conference coming up and those links are there too, as well as to some of the doctors we mentioned. Wish I could tell ya which compounds in that cannabis turned me into Chatty Cathy but the COA on it wasn’t that descriptive, dangem! Enjoy the professional patience of the wonderful Ms. Deborah McDonald, Kannaway Ambassador.
