Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored. While educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy.
You should know what’s in your cannabis. what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet. using cannabis mindfully as medication is a different concept and Western healthcare philosophy, specifically of the past 100 years there’s a lot to learn and reconsider.
The information you’ll find here comes straight from the scientist and clinicians doing the work and reporting their findings in real time through various online outlets. The scientific truth of cannabis is finally getting out and is wide open for all to see at respected medical sites like pubmed.gov and JAMA, the Journal of American Medical Association…
And I’m right there in the thick of it with all those titans of medicine… as a fly on the wall… because I’m not a doctor. I didn’t go to med school. I took dozens of private cannabis courses offered by cannabis scientists online over the past few years and slowly began to understand the bigger picture. But I’m not a medical doctor or scientist. Oh I can talk to one about cannabis and hopefully inspire more doctors and patients alike, to research the facts as we know them today, and decide alternative health paths for themselves.
This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman, not a doctor, not a scientist. Just here to explain this great big story and the language of cannabis in its historical, political and scientific terms. So you can make educated decisions about the medicine you choose to ingest.

Hello my friends,
The year is quickly coming to a close and I want to remind you of a few things we’ve learned over the last year concerning cannabis.
What we know for sure is that there are hardly any human clinical studies for the hundreds of chemicals inside the cannabis plant. But there are thousands of years of anecdotal testimony by people of every walk of life around the globe who advocate it’s benefits.
The medical professionals in the United States are coordinating to form standards and a system that will educate both patients and professionals and advance the technology of cannabis therapy.
Schools are opening up now with formal education and more professionals are beginning to understand the truth.
I swear I’m not gonna get political but we all understand the corruption that got us here to start with and continues to thwart our industry… Cannabis has been legal in the state of Florida since 2014. But the industry still suffers from lack of proper banking utility, credit card use, advertising… farmers of color locked out of the process or charged hundreds of thousands of dollars more for the privilege of applying and women in corporate are still fighting the good ole white boy system while some states continue to arrest humans for using a plant.
And then there are hospital policies that usurp the doctor’s determination for using the best therapy for the patient…a plant… in exchange for synthetic compounds they already know don’t work.
Now imagine a bunch of legislators telling you how much high blood pressure medicine you get… even if its not enough to help your condition. That’s what’s happening with cannabis…. Even though scientists and chemists and cannabis experts have found out the truth.
Others outside that tiny growing bubble are having a hard time opening their propagandized hearts and minds. I cannot “boost” a Facebook page to acquire more readership because I talk about cannabis. They have ghosted me several times… But I have several pages there and keep several options going in case they drop me altogether. Ridiculous. I just TALK about a plant and it’s capabilities and history. And I amplify the doctors and scientists doing the actual work. See what I mean?
In the mood for book banning anybody? Some stupid legislators were doing just that this year… I don’t know how people vote-in such one-cell minds. Did you hear about the politician whose family Christmas card showed him and all his kids and wife holding long-barreled guns, one was a machine gun… and the wish for Santa to bring ammo. That was right after the kids in Oxford were maimed and murdered by one of their own 15 year old screwed up students who decided that was the right thing to do that day.
I don’t know of another product that can help the entire world change attitudes more completely than cannabis can. It allows your mind to consider introspection… gently. It is a loving therapist for your nerves if you learn to use it correctly. But all that is in the science of the plant that is still forbidden in the most effective ways of control… banking. And why is the banking still an issue? Because of the federal rating from corrupt years past. You see the slow roll back to the reality of science panning out across the country before you.
Now… dispensaries rapidly change product lines that incorporate new technology… but we still can’t get the same product twice, really. No two batches will be alike because of the extraneous conditions that allow various changes to occur… like terpenes that might blow in from the orange grove across the road. Or the dump 5 miles down. See what I mean? Do you know how that product you’re ingesting is grown and where?
The strength of the wind alone can totally change an outdoor batch. If you have more lemonine (terpenes) blow in one day than the next… those are potent medicinal compounds that happen to taste good too. They have their OWN effect.
If the product you buy comes from an indoor grow… wouldn’t it make a difference in it’s stability and continuity? Where the temps and humidity and pests and molds and soils or solutions are more easily controlled?
Here’s another thing I learned this year… Farmers are freezing their crops from the soil… that’s right… yankin the plant out in the field and freezing it immediately in portable freezer boxes. Then it goes to a bath and comes out as a concentrate for your vape pen.
I love my vape pen… I take it to the bathroom with me because I can’t be without it. It totally satisfies that hand-to-mouth thing I left when I quit smoking cigarettes 30 years ago… I love my vape pen. And… tell me again? How do you microdose a concentrate???
That whole thing fractures me. Because people don’t microdose concentrates! They develop habitual vape issues that break down their tolerance to the medication.
Hello… concentrate!
But here’s the good news… For a short time of sacrifice, you can completely reset your tolerance by abstaining from cannabis for at least a day or two… I think Dr. Dustin Sulak says 7. He’s the expert. Check it out at healer.com. But I understand if you’re like me and have tremendous pain, you don’t wanna be without it and the thought of going back to synthetic prescriptions is nauseating. Just know that abstaining from cannabis for a few days will reset your body’s tolerance and it will recoup the effects you were looking for.
We learned that medical professionals are coordinating and leading the way teaching legislators across the country what needs to be considered before creating regulations!
I don’t know about you… but as an elder on a handful of pills and new to this medical marijuana treatment… I’d rather have a formally educated pharmacist in every dispensary to ask questions about my pills with cannabis and other stuff I’m taking.
Some people have serious issues that need chemical mixology considerations and they’re getting younger and younger because of the convenience of our society and terrible food choices and lack of disciplined exercise. So isn’t it reasonable to want a person who studies chemicals available at such places of purchase? Where the product they’re selling has over 500 compounds in it that haven’t been studied formally on humans yet?
What other thing would you ingest that had that many chemicals in it without question? Count the chemicals in your Pepsi and tell me they don’t scare you! Oh wait… they don’t tell you what’s in a Pepsi…

I’m frustrated with the system at hand because Western Medicine has made me expect the same feeling from synthetic compounds and live plant therapy is a whole different animal. But we’ll get there. This industry isn’t gonna look ANYTHING like it does now in ten years. Even though California managed to have the longest mangled cannabis system on the planet… I’ve got a bunch of smartie pants friends out there workin on it now!
I see the hacks and tricks that dispensaries are playing now… they use smaller cartridges that contain a little less product but it’s more viscous. They can sell more of them at a lower price but the technology they used makes their patients cough and gag and choke for air with tears spurting from their eyes… what happened to Do No Harm!
So I’m a bit peeved with that whole nonsense goin on. But it made me change my delivery habits… the way I ingest the product. So that was eye-opening too.
The concoctions each dispensary sells is their own proprietary blend of bla bla bla… they all have their own chemists who figure out various formulas based on data collected since forever and go from there. Their margins are so slim they’re shootin at any angle to get your two bits. That’s about 25 cents in old timer talk if yall remember that term…
The point is… each dispensary has their own mixtures and elixirs and it may be more helpful than the last guy’s… which begs the question… how does a patient get the same product twice if you have to shop around for something that really works when the companies are always changing the product? Ahhhhhhhh. Bingo! Now you see MY frustration. So what’s the answer?
Welllllll… The answer is to better standardize the process so duplication is possible. But remember that cannabis made its way around the world long before we did… I think we’re all just still trying to figure it out using the cleanest products we can buy and logging the data. Gotta have data.
But I have stopped using concentrated vape pens… can’t trust myself to leave them alone and treat them like medicine. They trigger me to over-use.
I learned to “layer” my meds… using different ways to consume the plant. I drink a lot of cannabis tea… just hot water and a nug of cannabis about the size of a popcorn and a drip of coconut oil… maybe a little cinnamon or pumpkin spice… delish and really helps tame my arthritis for hours.
I just decided to start taking cannabis “pills” which are capsules of cannabis goo and those are helping my brain get the consistent schedule thing goin morning and night which lasts longer too. I do smoke the raw cannabis leaf in a little glass one-sie a few times a day… that way I get all the cannabinoids and can choose one that has less THC in it for me. When I was a kid in Arkansas with my grandparents, the farm boys grew it out in the back pasture and sold us a baggy full for $10.00. Out of all those compounds, there was only about 14-18% THC in that cannabis. Now… you can’t find the product in such low percentages… The corporations keep raising the THC content in cannabis turning it into Frankenweed. Just like they did your chickens.
It’s really nice to have so many choices in medicating. It’s convenient and relaxing. So that’s a really different aspect of medicating with cannabis. You can smoke, vape, take capsules, drip drops of tincture, eat gummies or chocolate infused yummies, use pre-rolled joints, dab concentrates with a complicated hi-tech tool, buy “lemon dust” to add to a cake or dessert, or plain ole ground up flower create an ancient recipe with oil. We are the superpower of choices in America… all these great ideas coming out from entrepreneurs all over the globe. Technology is on a roll.
Canada and Mexico are about to legitimize the plant federally before we do. And green states are beginning to let marijuana prisoners free… finally.
So the new year looks hopeful for cannabis with some big new deals rollin in and terrifying at the same time because of SCOTUS tightening their old white hands on my uterus and wanting to make all women subject to men…again.
I will argue for our rights as humans on this planet, regardless of my gender and without a gun in my hand till the day I die. I will not be subject to the corrupt hearts of those few people in control with ulterior motives.
And I hope you’re fired up to do the work with me. Call out those bastards when you see or hear them… don’t let them get away with lying and bullying their way around power. It takes courage. You’ll have to muster some bravery. But it feels great to stop that nonsense wherever you can… without causing more harm to yourself. Those before us have sacrificed their lives for the freedoms we’re enjoying and discussing here.
And always remember to use your words as reason… not your fists as weapons. And don’t buy your 15 year old guns for Christmas. Please. You can’t justify criminalizing abortion… when you continue to allow over the counter gun sales… that facilitate the release of alllll that pent up pissy anger… that surging testosterone encourages in young men… who go use a gun to kill someone they don’t have the verbal capability of communicating their thoughts to.
We have to stop the murders. And it begins with the gun thing and talk therapy for all. Cannabis helps assuage your emotions and opens up introspection…
We just have to get it into the people who need it so desperately.
Pax Vobiscum my friends.

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. The process of taking your records with your symptoms and diagnosis to a cannabis specialist can lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for your best results. Otherwise, you’re just your own guinea pig looking for answers without any foundational knowledge or ability to determine the best choices… Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog. PS: Helping society get past the fear of using cannabis will be a lifelong journey for me. This industry is just opening up and both patients and doctors are completely cannabis naive and need help understanding where to turn for trustworthy information. If you need help opening that cannabis discussion with your family doctor, please reach out and grab the Dear Doctor Letter I wrote for this exact purpose. It will explain your decision to try cannabis and ask for their help in monitoring your labs and progress. It will also show them where they can find medical research on the subject of your diagnosis and the effects of cannabis. You’ll find that letter at cannabaverum.com
