cannabis verum golf

Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored. While educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy.

You should know what’s in your cannabis. what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet. using cannabis mindfully as medication is a different concept and Western healthcare philosophy, specifically of the past 100 years there’s a lot to learn and reconsider.

The information you’ll find here comes straight from the scientist and clinicians doing the work and reporting their findings in real time through various online outlets. The scientific truth of cannabis is finally getting out and is wide open for all to see at respected medical sites like pubmed.gov  and JAMA, the Journal of American Medical Association…

And I’m right there in the thick of it with all those titans of medicine… as a fly on the wall… because I’m not a doctor. I didn’t go to med school. I took dozens of private cannabis courses offered by cannabis scientists online over the past few years and slowly began to understand the bigger picture. But I’m not a medical doctor or scientist. Oh I can talk to one about cannabis and hopefully inspire more doctors and patients alike, to research the facts as we know them today, and decide alternative health paths for themselves.

This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman, not a doctor, not a scientist. Just here to explain this great big story and the language of cannabis in its historical, political and scientific terms. So you can make educated decisions about the medicine you choose to ingest.

Hey my friends. I want to give you a tip about somebody I know who will really give you the help you need. Dr. Anthony Mazo Majorcan is an MD, highly rated neurology specialist and psychiatrist in Melbourne, Florida, with more experience in headache, epilepsy and HIV issues than other specialists around here. Dr. Mazo was the first clinician to study the cannabis plant and become a medical marijuana physician in Melbourne when it was finally legalized in Florida in 2016. His understanding of the mechanism and effects of this live Plant Therapy will set you on the path to relief in just no time. Dr Mazo is not quick to prescribe traditional synthetic chemicals when he knows that gentle cannabis will likely give the necessary relief. I know this to be true because I had to see him for my own neuropathic issues.

He did not prescribe synthetics. He told me to get a particular kind of cannabis instead and use it in a specific way to find relief. And that is what every doctor in America should have in their little black bags.

Dr. Mazo is not a typical cannabis-naive clinician in this wild wild west of you know, unregulated cannabis and all of that right now in this particular moment in cannabis history.

You see, those doctors will just see you for about five minutes and grant you a Florida cannabis card. But he’s not like that. He actually studied the plant and understands it. And his practice has been here for maybe 20 years or something like that in neurology.

If you’re looking for a cannabis expert to help with your real issues, who understands you emotionally as well as physically, he’s a brain guy too, remember… a psychiatrist… then call Dr. Mazo. Make an appointment today.

He didn’t know I’ve made this little commercial for him, so be sure to tell him where you heard about him. Just tell him Honey sentcha… he’ll get a real kick out of it. Dr. Mazo Majorcan specializes in cannabis therapy, neurology and sleep medicine. He’s rated five out of five on the Care Dash, a patient’s review site of clinicians… and he accepts Telehealth appointments as long as it’s still legal… not sure about the rolling legislation right now but he does if he can legally… and is affiliated with the hospital First Holmes Regional Medical Center here in Melbourne.

His clinic details… the Brevard Neuro Center. Yeah, I’m sure you’ve heard about it already. It’s been here forever. Dr. Anthony Mazo, an MD. The phone number is, and I’ll have all this in the show notes, (321) 733-2711 He’s on NASA Boulevard. You know that real nice street down there in the main part of Melbourne. 315 East NASA Boulevard in Melbourne. Great staff he’s got too… you’re really going to enjoy your experience with Dr Mazo because he’s going to help you feel better.

Robert M. Walls 5:36

My name is Robert M. Walls.

Honey Smith Walls 5:38

It most certainly is and how old are you Robert M. Walls?

Robert M. Walls 5:42

I am 98 years old.

Honey Smith Walls 5:45

And how long have you and I known each other?

Robert M. Walls 5:47

Since the last supper…

Honey Smith Walls 5:53

Ahhhhahahahaha… And here I thought I was gonna get to call you older than dirt, first.

Honey Smith Walls 6:01

Yeah, we’ve known each other a long time. 30 years. And now… My dear audience gets to know you. And this… dear audience… is my brother in law, Robert M. Walls. And so Robert is down here in Florida with the family and he’s been telling me about his experiences with some products, some cannabis products, that he’s been looking at and considering use or not or whatever. And so he’s been asking me a few things about it. And I thought it was a perfect opportunity to let my audience hear from the horse’s mouth what it’s like to choose a product you know, like you. So what was the first time that made you consider using a little cannabis product?

Robert M. Walls 7:08

My son gave me some gummies and then I turned around and bought some gummies.

Honey Smith Walls 7:16

What did want them for? Pain? Something was hurting? Yeah. Was it hidden inside your joints or what? Knees? Oh, your knees? Yes. Oh, and also what my audience should probably know is that Bob is a really healthy 98 year old who swings a club at 18 holes weekly still, probably…

Robert M. Walls 7:49

Sometimes twice a week.

Honey Smith Walls 7:53

Sometimes twice a week! That probably doesn’t count all the balls he shoots across the pond with just practice at home. So you were having some knee pain and your son Gordon had already had some good experience with some cannabis products. Yes. So what happened the first time that you took it?  Your knees were hurtin real bad? And then Gordon gave you some gummies… did you take one or two? Did you have any idea what was in it… really?

Robert M. Walls 8:25

No… I had no idea but I used them and I was using a product that was supposed to be good for your knees. And then I read an article on it… I think in Facebook where Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson had gotten in trouble because they started selling CBD oil. And because they were cutting the price that they were in trouble… Gordon got a bottle of CBD oil from them. And I started using that. And with the product I was using with it for my knees… after a while they started hurting again. And so I switched to a different product to use… with like CBD oil. Oh, okay. I find the oil to have been much better for me than the gummies.

Honey Smith Walls 9:29

Can you say why? What was the difference?

Robert M. Walls 9:33

Well, with the product that I’m using and with the oil, the pain went away, but it didn’t completely go away with the gummies.  Their gummies were only 500 milligrams.

Honey Smith Walls 9:46

That’s a pretty fair amount for pain and I would, you know… I don’t know if everybody needs that that much or not… my audience has heard me tell a story about my nerves being calmed with just 30 milligrams a day in a drink product that I used recently. And I’m still talking about Canabix! I think it’s a fantastic drink. I just never expected to find anything that would assuage my emotions other than alcohol. And that doesn’t do it either. That just always gets you in trouble. But cannabis doesn’t do it like that. Cannabis could really tone your, you know, all kinds of things down… including emotional pain and physical pain, like in your knees. So you found that the liquid… does it last longer?

Robert M. Walls 10:55

I guess…  I don’t have any pain at all in my knees. I take it at night and once a day.

Honey Smith Walls 11:01

So today is it a dropper full you’re taking or half a dropper?

Robert M. Walls 11:09

Probably more than half a dropper.

Honey Smith Walls 11:15

That’s pretty amazing Bob, that it could stop that kind of pain the way it has for you and I’m glad to hear that. Because, you know,  you’re a real athlete and your body takes a beating when you’re out there battin balls around. So the way you twist and all of that… you’re one of the strongest men I’ve ever known. And I’ve always said that about you, but you’ve always been extremely physical and very healthy. I think the other lessons that we learned in choosing a product is about just making sure your source is good and that they have lab tests so that you’re safe as a patient using a product like that, right?  So it’s your source. It’s just really important. So I’m glad you found somebody that you trust. With a product that really works for you. Do you have other friends that you’ve talked to about this? Do they use?

Robert M. Walls 12:26

Well, I have a friend that when this company that I got my first CBD oil from a jar of cream for pain. Yeah. I have a friend that’s been sickly for over two years. And they haven’t found out what’s wrong with her but she has real bad pain in her knees and her hands and I gave her my cream. And she said it really did work good. It took the pain away from her knees. And but she didn’t order anymore.

Honey Smith Walls 13:10

Yeah. Well, it’s expensive. We can’t always get you as much as we need. And some people you know, everybody’s individual. So one person might need, you know, half a dropper like you and another person might need two or three droppers, you know, so it just depends on where we find our sweet spot when we’re working with live Plant Therapy. You know, but, but I’m so glad that you found relief through this and I really appreciate you coming on the show and telling people about your experience.

Now you’re not a medical marijuana patient yet in the state of Florida. So you’re just getting your products over the counter… is that right or am I mistaken?

Robert M. Walls 14:02

Over the counter… Yeah, yeah. When I went to Omaha, I bought two bottles and I have one bottle left from the last week from July until now… I used a bottle and a half.

Honey Smith Walls 14:19

That’s pretty cheap medicine if you’re asking me.

Robert M. Walls 14:21

It is… it is…

Honey Smith Walls 14:26

You know in a bottle of CBD usually runs at 60 70 80 $90. Yeah.

Robert M. Walls 14:33

That CBD that bought me when he was here only costs 39 bucks.

Honey Smith Walls 14:39

Well it probably was a smaller bottle and not maybe perhaps not as concentrated as the other bottles that do get more expensive, but I’m glad that you’re able to use that so well. You know, that’s just really remarkable and such good news for other people who needed relief from just body aches and pains. So well honey, thank you so much for joining my show today. I appreciate you so much and I love you and I’m really tickled that our audience got to hear you.

Robert M. Walls 15:16

Okay, thank you for having me.

Honey Smith Walls 15:19

Alright, I’ll talk to you again real soon. Take care. Bye. Bye. Bye.

And for the rest of my audience. I’m going to see him real soon because he’s just in the next room. And we’re going to go have some supper. Talk to y’all later. We’re out.

Hey, friends, I can’t wait to bring more exciting Cannabis News and conversations to you. And with the pandemic coming down to a quiet rage next year. I’m planning on visiting some wonderful businesses in this industry to show you a peek behind the curtain, how it’s growing and what you need to be aware of. For instance, I’m very wary of D-8 products being sold over the counter. It’s an isomer. So by law it’s illegal to sell it over the counter, no matter what the store tells you. And if you bought somewhere other than a licensed dispensary, it has not been tested for contamination and content. And it was most likely made by some armchair chemist working out of this garage.

You’re welcome.

The point is, we must vet our sources. And that’s why I’m here to show you how. Don’t buy your cannabis products from the dollar store or gas station. Just don’t. Your health is worth so much more respect. So because of all the new activity coming up in the new year for us, I’m going to cut back to one episode of the Cannaba Verum show per week, so that I may bring you more exciting news from the field. We’re gonna have some wonderful adventures in cannabis. I can’t wait for you to find out along with me.

Pax Vobiscum my friends.

MOOOOOOO!!

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. The process of taking your records with your symptoms and diagnosis to a cannabis specialist can lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for your best results. Otherwise, you’re just your own guinea pig looking for answers without any foundational knowledge or ability to determine the best choices… Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog. Cannaba Verum is Latin for Cannabis Truth. Sourcing factual information about cannabis hasn’t always been easy for a variety of reasons. However now because of modern innovations, it is. My sources are from leaders in cannabis science like:

Roger Adams, U.S. Organic Chemist who isolated the structure of CBD,

Raphael Mechoulam, Israeli Organic Chemist who isolated the structure of THC,

Ethan Russo, Dir R&D International Cannabis and Cannabinoids Institute

Rev. Dr. Kymron DeCesare, Ed Rosenthal, Jack Herer, Michael Backes, and Michael Pollen and so many more… plus I use classical sites like: PubMed.gov, JAMAnetwork.com, ResearchGate.com. I listen to several daily podcasts to keep up with the latest cannabis news across the nation and throughout the world like:  The Great Shea Gunther at MJTodayDaily.com and MarijuanaMoment.net.  I trust the CBDProject.org and CannabisScienceTech.com. PS: Helping society get past the fear of using cannabis will be a lifelong journey for me. This industry is just opening up and both patients and doctors are completely cannabis naive and need help understanding where to turn for trustworthy information. If you need help opening that cannabis discussion with your family doctor,  please reach out and grab the Dear Doctor Letter I wrote for this exact purpose. It will explain your decision to try cannabis and ask for their help in monitoring your labs and progress. It will also show them where they can find medical research on the subject of your diagnosis and the effects of cannabis. You’ll find that letter at cannabaverum.com

Show Notes:

You’re in for a real treat today… my guest also happens to be someone I love. I invited him to chat because he’s older than Methuselah and experience counts! More than that… he’s simply got a good story that I think will resonate with the older guys who still believe all this stuff is just a bunch of hoohaw from an industry trying to get your money. They’ve heard all their lives that marijuana is bad and they can’t hardly be budged from that idea. Further, wrapping their mind around the whole story is just too hard to untangle. So they’re really left out of the picture of recovery and relief by the brakes of their own thoughts. I’m hoping my guest today can dislodge some of that thinking. He’s quite a character… I know stories about Bob Walls that would make you fall off your chair laughing and crying at the same time. His experience in this world with his 6 other siblings on a small Kansas farm and the service he gave to our country make for wildly interesting conversations. How do I know? He’s my husband’s older brother and I’ve been beggin stories out of him since the day we met over a hundred years ago;) Please enjoy the delightful 98 year old… Robert M. Walls.
