Honey Smith Walls 0:10

Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast, I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis. What’s good, what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hey Aiden, are you listening, we’re about to put your favorite person right back on this show. That’s right, Ganja Mama. Come on in, everybody, welcome Christine Stio, back to our show.

Christine Stio 1:34

So I, Dr. Leah is like Alright well we need to get you into a dispensary so you could pick up this product for Aiden. And I was like well Dr Leah I’m like, here in New York state, we’re still just medical our rec, adult rec has not even been open yet. Like because of the lag, you know, I go so I’ll, I’ll need to see if I can get his medical card, or I’ll have to get a medical card. So at that point, I you know I’ve already, I always thought about getting my own medical card anyway yeah, chronic pain. Okay, but, um, but the funny thing is, so I was like alright so let me look into this. Aiden is too young to have his own medical card he’s needed to be 18 in the state of New York. Okay. All right, well I’ll get my medical card. Well, I went through the process for my son to be able to give him the medicine he needs. And that’s how now I know how to go through it but now I’m helping him and myself. So,

Honey Smith Walls 2:33

oh my gosh, the last thing a huge, you got a twofer, all for all from the podcast. The work you’re doing the life. It’s like gods like past you know like your calling. You are a shining beam in my story, and I thank you so much for that, you I’d be happy to, you know, You could interview me someday for your biography. Well I think you and I have so much in common I was, I was a single mother too. And I just had the one my one son but he grew up and join the Navy and met his bride on that vessel. They sailed around the world together for about five years, and then they came home, got married and had four kids and he works up there for Ford in Michigan and she’s a nurse, big wig in some big company and helping people and veterans and lalala and I’m just so proud of all of them.

Christine Stio 3:41

Well, that’s amazing, it really is. our kids like It’s like we’re given these precious gifts. You know they don’t belong to us, they, they belong to, in my opinion they belong to a higher being, whether you know people call that God or the universe, but they’re there, they’re in our care for a short time and while they’re in our care. We just, we help navigate their life, you know, we help them girl to the High Times.

Honey Smith Walls 4:07

That’s right Babe was only in my care for 16 years and he flew the coop, right. We never know how quickly they’re going to be gone. No we don’t. And so I’m tickled for you that that you see the genius and Aiden and that he inspires so many fabulous business ideas for you. Isn’t that the coolest,

Christine Stio 4:33

We talked, him and I talked about writing a book together because he’s funny his art is amazing and I love it.

Honey Smith Walls 4:40

So you know that you can buy a book producing platform for $30, and all you do, it’s a beautiful book and it’s called, they’re, they’re like flip books, okay, you can put in the pictures, you can put in the verbiage, and then you, you, you’ve got some kind of link that it goes to on their server, and you send that the book that you and Aiden created to all your friends and family and whatever.

Christine Stio

Oh I love that it met great yeah I’m gonna have to look that up so right, it’s like a book producing platform just Google $30 flip book, okay. And you’ll see probably several different platforms, but I, I get that in my inbox because I’m working on a book right now. And lots of people, you know, those type of platforms are finding that out because inquiring about well what does book baby do for me you know and what will I do if I do it by myself and so I, if I don’t have the wherewithal to do all of that by myself, I’ve got to let some of it go. Yes, right, there’s only so many hours in the day, honestly, you want to be able to utilize your hours for the best good,

Honey Smith Walls 6:02

I do, you know, so, I, I’m, I’m putting the, what I consider to be the most important information for a patient in a concise little book, and pointing them in the direction of their professional health care physicians, and, you know, and to cannabis pharmacists, I bet you can hear my little fat poodles snoring know I can’t. She’s been, I’ll bet you anything. This microphone is picking up she’s been laying here the whole time, just, I mean cutting seas across the air will love that. Honestly. Anyway, I apologize for that. Rabbit, rabbit hole I got sucked down I

Christine Stio 6:59

know I love our little animals like my little kid and he’s been such a blessing to us, and we gather him as like a therapy animal for Aiden. And, you know, we, he’s a rescue. So we, the woman that was fostering him and his family. She really was instrumental in helping us pick the right kit and because that you know I’m like you know it’s for my son Aiden he’s, he’s autistic and he needed. You know, like kind of the therapy animals something yeah I mean,

Honey Smith Walls 7:29

So that’s why I have five. Oh, and two fat cats, I need therapy animals around me all the time yes

Christine Stio 7:35

there’s so there’s so they just bring you back to where you need to be they, they make you feel like come number

Honey Smith Walls 7:43

of days but yes, they they feel your heart, a happier sense, yes. Yeah, right, you can really, that’s palpable. Yeah, you can feel that, yes, yeah I see and so he took to the the kitten.

Christine Stio 7:59

Oh my gosh, the kit and the kitten is like his best friend. He’s fabulous everywhere and you know I was worried because I’m being mom in the house I was worried the kitten was going to like bond with Me and not with him, right, it did not happen this is all about eight and it’s like a huge, that’s fantastic, that kids to York City, For like, like the holiday time we’re going to go that’s a Christmas gift.

Honey Smith Walls 8:27

What do you do when you go to the city, and we’re going to,

Christine Stio 8:30

we’re going to take buses with us. We’re going to, well we have a band, you know we. Okay, so I’ve been in New York several times and my friend in New York City with their dad when he was, you know, back in the days when he used to come around. So, we have a band together. So we were starting a list of things we’re going to do obviously Rockefeller Center we went oh my gosh, we want to do this amazing pizza place it’s called Lombardi’s

Honey Smith Walls 8:55

party. Oh, it’s

Christine Stio 8:56

so good. We want to just you know, walk around, enjoy the sights and the sounds, before the holiday so we’re going to go and like mid December so we’re going to.

Honey Smith Walls 9:06

Yeah, in the city thing in Brooklyn, so. Wow, boy, I could see you all walking around in your mittens right now that’s gonna be

Christine Stio 9:20

so much fun but we started our list, you know, we’ve got our list that’s on the guys let’s brainstorm so we sat around actually last night at dinner and like let’s start thinking about what we want to do in New York, I’m like, we’re on a budget, you know, my kids are used to that being unemployed, which is a good thing because it teaches them about real life.

Honey Smith Walls 9:38

But, and, and nobody needs to buy stuff just because it’s stuck. Exactly. We all have too much stuff again first world problems. I’m so glad you keep saying that. I want to talk to you about books but keep going,

Christine Stio 9:53

yet so you know we’re gonna just enjoy every minute together. There’s they’re excited because they’re older now they realize they don’t need more stuff, and they want experiences they want to

Honey Smith Walls 10:04

go live on a travel, they get it. Traveling is

Christine Stio 10:08

a huge gift like, I mean that’s living the dream being able to travel in work. And, you know, educate people like that to me, if I could someday just travel around and do this gig, I would just be thrilled. There’s so much of the world I want to see.

Honey Smith Walls 10:31

Well I think you will travel around, you will because there’s going to be conferences, because I can see a book or a course coming out of you, people are going to need you to go to various, you know, not only states but probably the, you know, other fabulous countries we want to visit anyway.

Christine Stio 10:51

Yeah, sounds wonderful. Hey, honey maybe you and I could decide to go to the same conference someday together.

Honey Smith Walls 10:58

Listen, I plan to be friends with you forever now so definitely have to be a hookup. I love that. Oh, yeah, because there will be conferences that will both be going to I’m sure and sharing, oh by the way, are you familiar with, with Dustin Sulak’s healer.com conferences that are free to the public, every month. So, I used to only get them because I took his course and, you know, went through his courses. And then when COVID hit he opened up those monthly conferences for his students okay to the public and there has been a huge influx of doctors coming in, and now we’re all doing the Dr. Dustin Sulak conference with these specialists from Arabia, and Lebanon, and Australia and Timbuktu is incredible, right, That’s amazing. It is. So, you can find his fine, you find his conferences at healer.com, and, and it’s once a month but I’ll also send you a link from my email that I get, You know, and, and you can go and go from there, one but everybody else can find out about his conferences. Is he just wrote the Bible for clinicians, it’s, It’s an incredible book called Handbook for Clinicians, not Handbook of Cannabis for Clinicians, Principles and Practices. Okay, okay, so I’ll send you a link to that too. That’s really, you know, it’s kind of highbrow. For those who are not studied or interested in, you know, the chemical mix ology of cannabis, but those of us nerds who are just geeks about it. I’m not kidding you, it is going to be the new Bible for clinicians because he’s so specific. Wow. Yeah. And so, yeah,

Christine Stio 13:17

the learn like you said, going back to that learning like, as you said the high brow, you have to be able to, you know, for myself, like some of the people on our, in our network are brilliant. You know I’m a brain I consider myself a smart woman I’ve got street smarts, I’ve got a huge heart, and I feel like I’m a good vessel for connecting people and like shining that light so that way other people could shine their light, and I’m just, you know they’re connecting and educating,

Honey Smith Walls 13:48

but lovely way to put it a good vessel, yeah I like that.

Christine Stio 13:52

I feel like because of my teaching background I’m able to take this, like you say highbrow information and work and read it and reread it and digest it and break it down into smaller pieces, they need him broken down. Yes, because I need it broken down to when I get like whoa, I’m like, it’s like, you are you connected on LinkedIn with a man named Zachariah Hildebrand,

Honey Smith Walls 14:19

no but don’t you love this

Christine Stio 14:22

brilliant scientist, I’ll look him up, doing work, and the with the environment with cannabis but ham. He’s brilliant and when that first Mark Eden are you connected with Mark Eden. No, he’s another one, really. So,

Honey Smith Walls 14:37

okay, Zachariah Hildebrand, yes. okay and markeaton

Christine Stio 14:42

Yes, brilliant, brilliant. Mark had Zachariah, on a podcast, and I listened to the podcast I was blown away. And I had to like really I had to listen to it twice, and I took notes because it was you know a lot of it was very scientific, and so I had to really listen and I was like I said, I was grateful for my background in teaching and all the years of school I’ve attended. Yeah. Because I you know I was, I might not have had the attention span for it. If I didn’t have that background and then there’s another thing, another woman that I was thinking about that really you know we talked about being positive and being some person of change. But you know lifting yes being uplifting but you know it’s hard out there because there’s so many people that want to come across, life, and they want to talk down at you or they want to disagree with you in a way that kind of puts you down. Well, this woman just was she blew me away. It was a TED Talk that mark, even shared. Oh, It’s the woman’s name is Loretta J Ross,

Honey Smith Walls 15:56

I’ll look it up I love TED Talks goodness will read and Loretta J. Ross. Ross, R O S S. Okay, and Mark Eden posted on LinkedIn. And if you connect with Mark. He just posted this yesterday, and it’s the TED talk is called Don’t call people out, call them in. So, in other words, we are living in this right now, we are living in the era of everybody calling each other out, but in a negative way we’re apart we’re dividing yeah instead of uniting Yeah, and if you call them in or you call on them. She explains how to do this and her TED talk, it’s like you’re inviting them for into a conversation, and that’s the real way to make a change.

Honey Smith Walls 16:46

Yes, I’m reading something very similar about how to communicate between different cultures right when business people have to deal with Eastern Europeans it’s different than having to deal with Japanese it’s different than having to deal with Afrikaans, it’s different. They all have different cultural structures that we are so unfamiliar with. And so for us to come in and say well it’s got to be like this because I’m the boss. When in another, you know, more egalitarian system, it would, it wouldn’t be that way. So basically, I love learning about new ways to communicate and I think that’s the only way we’re going to figure out how to bring about our society again to a more inclusionary way thinking and frame of mind that’s truthful, we’re in the era of truth, yeah, yes the truth exactly Cannaba Verum. but they’re not accepting the truth,

Christine Stio 17:55

right so many people honey in my life, in my, in my short life here because I believe 50 years is not very many years but it’s

Honey Smith Walls 18:03

just not as yet, right, in your experience,

Christine Stio 18:08

so many people, they don’t want the truth, they are afraid of the truth. They don’t come from a place of truth they hide behind false pretenses or hidden agendas, and I’m the opposite so I’m like always like so honest and speaking my heart speaking my mind. And some people do not enjoy that about me, they think they’re a little intimidated by it, I

Honey Smith Walls 18:33

should say, yeah, I get that a lot.

Christine Stio 18:38

It’s like it’s such a good feeling to be honest and to seek the truth and search for the truth. And when you find other people that are like minded It’s so refreshing and like LinkedIn, I found so many people like us, want the truth, who are embracing the truth, who are scientists to educators, lawyers, we’ve got doctors, pharmacists,

Honey Smith Walls 19:01

how are you managing your time, because I’ve got one little trick, I’d like to share with you probably already do it.

Hey, Aiden. I thought as long as your mom and I are talking about you, I might as well ask you directly. I was just wondering, are you going to be doing the artwork for your mom’s businesses too. I mean after all, you’re the smarty pants who thought up the names. Wow. I was just curious, I thought I’d ask. See you next time.

You know what happens when two girls to get togoother. Well, let’s do take 47 on this shall we, you know what happens when two girls get together and gab and gab and gab and have such a good time, you end up learning a thing or two. It’s wonderful. It’s wonderful hanging out with Christine Stio, and we’re going to do that some more.

On the next episode of Cannaba Verum.

Thanks for joining us today. You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman honey Smith walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. The process of taking your records with your symptoms and diagnosis to a cannabis specialist can lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for your best results. Otherwise, you’re just your own guinea pig looking for answers without any foundational knowledge or ability to determine the best choices, unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test.
