CV 035 The High

Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored, while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is honey Smith walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hello My Friends,

I keep listening to new podcasts. Other peoples. Even after two episodes per week for more than 6 months, that’s 70 shows, my podcast is still considered new. I want to present a broad attitude regarding cannabis to you but after hearing what some of these podjockeys are saying, it’s very much caveat emptor in this realm too. Buyer Beware! Beware what you believe without proof and sink into your mind as well!

By only listening to me… you will only know what I’ve learned. But there is so much more to discover and I’m hurrying as fast as I can to get the important stuff to you first! Listen to others about the subject. Find your own great sources and tell your friends. Word of Mouth is the best way to get the message out in this federal era of no cannabis advertising.

Today in cannabis, contamination is the most important consideration. Because it’s really hard to heal and feel better while you’re poisoning yourself. You have to start with a clean product. Then figure out your personal dosage by titrating micro-amounts of product until you feel a result. It’s just a simple Hunt and Peck procedure.

But this is not like regular medicine you’ve been taking for years in pill form. It doesn’t work like regular medicine either. It’s very personal and cannot be dosed by age or weight. Truly, a blood sample should be coming soon to see what our body needs from the 500 cannabis compounds to balance. THEN cherry pick the chemovars for that patient! But we’re not there yet. I don’t know why. OhMyCOW!!! Wait… I DO know why!
It’s called corruption by political oligarchs and it has to be stopped.

But that’s not the subject we’re talking about today. I want to talk about The High.

This is what ignorant legislators and religious zealots are so up in arms about. The High. God forbid anybody should want to get high. To these people, getting high means shirking your duties and responsibilities and acting like a laughing lunatic at the experience of a nit hopping off your knee, which somehow equates to the incomparable behavior of a drunk getting behind the wheel of a car. Getting high on marijuana is NOT like getting drunk on alcohol. They don’t have the remotest connection and they don’t effect your body in the same way.

If these particular people who so vehemently rage against cannabis consumption in any form where to look at the actual science of the plant and random control trials already performed, as well as the U.S. government’s paradoxical ownership of a cannabis patent since 2003, #6630507 describing the amazing medicinal ability of the plant’s cannabinoids, I’m sure they would acquiesce to the side of science and truth.

So whatever is stopping them from realizing the truth and acting appropriately must be lit up with a spotlight and eradicated.

So here’s what got me all riled up.
I’m listening to this cute guy on Podcast 101 this morning and he and his buddy are talking about The High. They’re describing a fresh doobie of some brand and variety that escaped me and it doesn’t matter anyway because 2 months from now you won’t have access to that same product… there’s no standard in products yet and the different companies are racing to outgrow each other with the best, most quantifying numbers of compounds in their products. They tout those numbers like awards and yall know what people think about numbers! The higher the number, the better the product! Right?

Wrong!

This is just one area we must understand. And it has to do with attitude, not real data from random control trials that provide the truth.

You see, there is a huge group of people who used cannabis from the illicit market over the past 100 years. And those people found relief from their cannabis and want more. What they didn’t understand was the chemical makeup of what they were ingesting. And because it gave them a good feeling, they trusted it not to harm them. And because it was illegal, they didn’t use it as often and openly as we do now. And they didn’t have access to tons of contaminated product which turned into concentrates that also concentrated the poisonous contamination in it. Most people hid their pot smoking and didn’t have any way to ingest it other than as a joint or in a pipe. Making the opportunity to ingest mega-amounts of contamination so easily prevalent in vape pens and tinctures now being sold all over the country.

So lets look at the people who want to sell cannabis… in any form. Illegal street dealers, over the counter stores, legal adult-use marijuana stores and medical marijuana dispensaries.

Now all those make sense, right? You understand that in some way, there is a path to using cannabis. Whether legal or not. But then you have states where the people voted in cannabis but the legislature crippled the peoples ability to obtain it. Like D.C. where cannabis is legal but you can’t buy it. You can’t sell it. You can’t smoke it outside or inside. So what the hell are you supposed to do? That’s the kind of corruption I’m talking about. That’s gotta stop.

Now we know street dealers aren’t gonna take the time, money, or effort to lab test his product when he never had to do that before it became a legal market.

He doesn’t have the wherewithal to care about your health. He doesn’t have a global plan to help the planet survive. He’s just about the money. If you’re still buying from him, you can count on ingesting contaminated products that will eventually kick yer ass. You wanna be a sickly weakened human relying on others for help with your health? It won’t be long if you keep using that contaminated product. Warn your friends. Tell them they can serve themselves better by using clean product. Help them learn where to get it. Help them discern the meaning of clean and why it’s important to them and their families and friends. There is a way to mitigate some of the damage of contaminated street weed if you just get some clean hemp products to supplement your regimen. Replace some of that street weed with over the counter hemp products that have a 3rd party lab test attached to it. You could get some D8 hemp for settling afternoon jitters or quelling the clanging thoughts in your head so you can focus on work. Hemp is more magical than most people realize. We’ve only just begun… as the song says.

Break

Businesses that sell hemp cannabis products over the counter like health food stores, dollar stores, and now even gas stations are NOT required by any law to prove anything on the label of that product. So some mom and pop operation making cannabis products out of their own kitchen or garage would not meet MY standard for wanting to ingest a new product. There’s no indication of a license, of validation, or precision… There’s no website, there’s no science, and no proof that what’s inside is listed on the label. Not buying it makes more sense than spending money on all those questions.

If it doesn’t come with a 3rd party lab test…. don’t buy it.

Now legal adult-use marijuana stores are different than what we see down here in Florida. I’ve been to a bunch of those up in MI and have horrifying stories to relate that would scare the bejesus out of old farts because the language of cannabis is so weird and cartoonish that just trying to understand what they mean is problematic.

Here’s the other problem… all the budtenders I came across just wanted to sell me the cannabis with the highest amount of THC. They didn’t council me at all. In fact, they opened a jar of cannabis and wanted me to SMELL IT! Like THAT was validation for choosing medicine when you had no knowledge of those Terpenes, what they do, what the odor means, or how to dose! Selling cannabis for profit strikes again.

I’m not against selling cannabis for profit… but the attitude of ‘sales-priority’ between the budtender and patient must get right. The health and education of that patient and the company employees who sell it all day has got to be fixed.

Don’t think for a minute that I find anything wrong with wanting to get high. I don’t.
I love getting high. It feels wonderful. It replaces some of the shittiest feelings and devastating emotions that wreck peoples minds and lives and relationships. It’s not equal to being drunk on alcohol which I can personally attest to because drinking was a huge part of the first 50 years of my life. And it was legal.

The euphoria that comes from cannabis doesn’t last long when smoked or vaped (maybe 20 minutes to an hour) but can total up 6-8 hours if taken as an edible or pill. You want to ride that 8 hour wave of anxiety if it’s the wrong variety for you? Do you know how to quell negative side effects of cannabis? Did you know you can control cannabis before, during or after you ingest it? It’s true. You just have to know how. And adding some CBD to your THC will tame the effects. Before, during, or after. You can also eat certain foods that will tame your THC because they have that same sesquiterpene Beta-Caryophilene in it that hemp does. Chew some black pepper corns (perhaps on a yummy sandwich), have some lemonade with the rinds or perhaps some soup with extra bay leaves. All those have beta-caryophilene that can tame your THC. So even if we might feel anxious or have other negative effects from cannabis, you know how to fix it now.

Medical Marijuana Dispensaries in Florida are strictly overseen for contamination. By law, each dispensary must 3rd party lab test all their products before sale. I heard there were contaminated rolling papers going around so now even THOSE fall victim to more regulation. I’m not against more regulation. But I want reasonable, fair, and guided regulation that can be contested and changed if necessary to accommodate the rest of the industry and the patients they serve.

Here’s the thing… it says MEDICAL Marijuana for a reason. It’s medicine. Not a toy. Not a bottle of wine. Not a Xanax or 6. There are real reasons people want and need to use cannabis and to treat it like its a toy from the 60s is ridiculous.

We’ve got to get past that. Cannabis is medicine. It must be grown as medicine and taken seriously as medicine. Just because we found out that getting high off marijuana feels wonderful is no reason to continue in this ignorant bliss.

Just because the guy next to me may be stupid enough to use contaminated products to get high (so he can feel better than he did before using) doesn’t mean that I think adult use is OK. I don’t.

Because that part of our industry isn’t taking our health into their consideration. They’re just selling the high or the feel-good thing without knowing what all the chemicals do! That’s just stupid. And worthy of litigation.

You want to feel better? Recognize it for what it is. If there is something that’s making you think you might feel better by consuming cannabis, then recognize that you don’t feel good, or right, or balanced. That you want the cannabis to help you past those icky feelings. That you believe cannabis would help you feel better.

You need something to help you settle down and focus? Mental clarity? Personal discipline? Cannabis varieties cover a wide spectrum of feelings and acuity. But you don’t consider yourself a “patient” for those things. Yet, here we are discussing the possibility of medication for those very ideas. Want to see the other side of this? What does ADD say to you? Now do you see how cannabis suddenly becomes medicine?

My husband spent his entire career in the service of our country by using his mind. He is a tea-totaler, still. He has always said that anyone who wants to get high and ruin his mind is just an idiot. There is no room for discussion here.

But my darling doesn’t understand what HIGH feels like, how lovely it can be for many, and the benefits of that high. So his determination is corrupt. He has been propagandized as well. He believes that because it is federally illegal, it must be bad. He has a hard time accepting that our government he served might actually do something bad for the people… he must’ve slept through the past administration.

So I can understand how and why he has the attitude about cannabis he does. I am certain that with a mind like his that gives all credence to science, then the truth will eventually prevail. But his lengthy caution is testimony of the burning living propaganda that still lives within the confines of his mind. Until he trusts, he’s not even interested in verifying. How does THAT work?

I’m telling you now that I’ve been using cannabis for years without any problems, and because of my issues, my doctor recommended I start using a whopping dosage of product that would put a bull elephant to sleep for 8 hours. It doesn’t phase me. I don’t even feel the need for a nap. I never get woozy or feel like I’m in a stupor or can’t focus. It just makes me stop hurting so much so I have more energy for doing other things rather than concentrate on the pain.

Here’s another eye-opener: I don’t want to drive without using cannabis first. It calms my nerves from the aggressive drivers who have no patience for the snowbirds who live down here half the year for warm weather. It gives MEEEE patience to just move over or back off or wait till the guy up ahead finally turns without beeping my horn impatiently. I don’t have a need to honk my horn all the time! See how that aggression disappears?

Friends, I’m so grateful for your attention as we skip down the yellow brick road of cannabis. There’s so much to learn, so many attitudes to change, and so much future to look forward to. Don’t forget to ask for that 3rd party lab test before you buy from anyone!!

Pax Vobiscum Yall.

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog at Cannaba Verum.com.
