Intro
Welcome to the Cannaba Verum Podcast, the cannabis truth podcast.
I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored while educating my audience on safe use of this live plant therapy.
You should know what’s in your cannabis… what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval… yet. Using cannabis mindfully as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider. Cannabis is not dangerous… but it is not harmless, either.
This is Honey Smith Walls… a 21st century cannabis shaman… here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political and scientific terms… so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.
Hello My Friends,
We’ve heard from quite a few guests in the industry over the last few months on this podcast.
For our new audience members, Cannaba Verum is Latin for Cannabis Truth, which is central to the mission of this podcast.
Each guest told us a story about how their lives are developing in the cannabis industry… in their particular state or country, as we watch the world turn green.
Some of our guests gave us really personal and dramatic anecdotes about their harrowing experiences… telling us about the corruption of cannabis in this burgeoning industry. There are crazy restrictions in banking, advertising, where cannabis businesses are zoned, and no tax relief for legal cannabis businesses.
Only your vote to get rid of the corruption in politics is going to stop all that.
We’ve heard from scientists, Women in Weed entrepreneurs, clinicians in practice and pharmacists. We heard from a successful stockbroker and legend in cannabis. And at this point I have to say, the more I learn the less I know.
These are courageous leaders in this industry who aren’t waiting for all the corrupt restrictions to catch up. They have figured out how to spread their word, the truth about cannabis, and how to use it safely and effectively.
So, boiling down the last 6 months or so to fundamental cannabis information you really need to learn…let’s talk about some fundamental truths:
- If you already have issues, you’re taking a handful of pills for, go see your family physician for a diagnosis along with a copy to take to your new cannabis doctor.
- Let your cannabis doctor lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for your particular issue.
- Avoid Contamination by understanding what to look for.
About the first statement… You need a diagnosis for the new cannabis doctor to work from. Especially if you’re already on a handful of pills. The new doctor knows stuff about your drug mixology and what to look out for with new cannabinoid therapy.
Cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless either. There are considerations that some patients on particular medications for the heart should know. There are patients with glaucoma who should review the new data and give to their eye doctors. There are surgical considerations for patients on heavy cannabis doses for cancer or tumors.
There’s a lot going on in cannabinoid science around the globe and it’s only just beginning.
Now… Let’s just address the elephant in the room, shall we?
This information is not intended for the Adult-Use Bunch!
Why is this information not intended for the Adult-Use Bunch? Because they’re not concerned about their physical health at this moment. They’re focused on social and emotional needs. Cannabis is great for that too. But this group is not thinking in terms of helping a particular body ache or sleeping issue. Cannabis for this group of people is intended socially. That’s different than what we’re trying to accomplish in the medicinal arena. With cannabis, intentions matter. OOOOHHHH doesn’t that sound cheesy!
Mindfulness may sound like a cheesy word to some… but the power of those neurons firing inside your mind is real. And harnessing that power to help understand what happens to you when you use cannabis will get you faster more successful results.
So pay attention to the following steps.
First, let your doctor know you want to try cannabis and need a current copy of your diagnosis for the cannabis specialist.
Second, your cannabis specialist is going to point you in the right direction through all the overwhelming choices you’ll have when you visit your first dispensary. So you’ll probably want to make a note of that advice.
Even though you’re going to be your own guinea pig trying to figure out what products to buy and how effective they are, your new cannabis doctor should be able to teach you a strategy that will help you make fundamental choices so you’re not so lost.
For instance: If you have bad anxiety and you’re not sleeping… your cannabis specialist will probably explain how too much THC is notorious for creating anxiety.
But the specialist knows that balancing THC with more CBD relieves negative looping thoughts in the middle of the night. You won’t have to put up with your eyes tightly shut but your mind wide awake! The medicine will relieve anxiety and let you shut down and sleep.
So now the idea is to find a product with only a “little” THC in it.
This is where Cannabis live-plant therapy is different than Western Medicine. We have multiple choices in the ratios of chemicals…which vary from dispensary to dispensary.
Then we have to figure out our own dosage! That’s why we always start with a sub-therapeutic amount and slowly titrate up, making certain to wait patiently between doses.
So this lesson is three-fold: careful what you choose, how you ingest it, and be sure to follow the process of titration…
Micro-dosing the tiniest amount to start and slowly add that tiny dose up till you feel right. SLOWLY is the key. Patience is a must.
And that last point… again, this live-plant therapy is not like our typical Western Medicine pills from a drugstore…
Live plants are extremely susceptible to contamination from molds, mildew, fungicides, herbicides, pesticides, heavy metals, and more. Anybody with a delicate immune system like arthritis, IBS, Fibro, Cancer, tumors, inflammation… has a damaged immune system already. It’s not firing on all cylinders as my Okie mechanic would say back in the day.
So in order to protect your delicate immune system from further damage due to contamination, it is imperative to check for a 3rd party lab test for every product you consume. That’s it! Just ask to see the 3rd party lab test to check the batch for proper testing. Otherwise, you have no idea what you’re putting in your body.
KNOW what you’re consuming!
After all, aren’t you trying cannabis to feel better? Well that mold has killed cancer patients who bought contaminated street weed and their autopsies said so! It wasn’t the cannabis… never a death on the planet from cannabis. It was the contamination in the cannabis.
Lesson: All Street Weed Is Contaminated… Unless it comes with a reputable 3rd party lab test proving otherwise… Giggles
So you have some serious fundamental truths about cannabis now that will give you a heads up about cannabis.
You can also visit HoneySmithWalls.com for a copy of the Dear Doctor Letter that will open that first cannabis conversation with your primary care physician. I know how hard that can be… I went through FOUR physicians before I found one who didn’t shame me… they were soooo propagandized! I don’t want you to have to blush and stutter like I did.
Thank you for joining the Cannaba Verum podcast again. I so love serving my community in this fashion about this subject. Yall really mean world recovery to me.
Pax Vobiscum My Friends!
MOOOOOOO!!
You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman honey Smith walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. The process of taking your records with your symptoms and diagnosis to a cannabis specialist can lead you to the correct cannabinoid therapy for your best results. Otherwise, it just your own guinea pig looking for answers without any foundational knowledge or ability to determine the best choices, unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test. Please be advised that all street weed is contaminated.
It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog. The CannabaVerum.com website.

Helping society get past the fear of using cannabis will be a lifelong journey for me. This industry is just opening up and both patients and doctors are completely cannabis naive and need help understanding where to turn for trustworthy information. If you need help opening that cannabis discussion with your family doctor, please reach out and grab the Dear Doctor Letter I wrote for this exact purpose. It will explain your decision to try cannabis and ask for their help in monitoring your labs and progress. It will also show them where they can find medical research on the subject of your diagnosis and the effects of cannabis. You’ll find that letter here: HoneySmithWalls.com
