CV 026 Is it Tested

February 26, 2021

Welcome to the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored, while educating my audience on the safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis, what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet, using cannabis mindfully, as medication is a different concept in the healthcare philosophy of the past 100 years. There’s a lot to learn and consider cannabis is not dangerous, but it is not harmless, either. This is honey Smith walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman here to explain the language of cannabis in historical, political, and scientific terms, so you can make educated decisions about the medicine you ingest.

Hello my friends,

I hear a collective sigh of relief that the COVID-19 vaccine is finally in distribution almost a year from when we began hearing about the virus. And what we’re not hearing very much about are the stressors of hibernation for humans and how we’re going to fix those mental and emotional lapses. Cannabis can help.

But there are 17 states who still continue to refuse the use of cannabis for their patients. All other states are either medical or adult-use where people are able to find relief.

Here’s my two-fold fear about adult-use… 1. that the public regards cannabis as a toy and not a medicine. And 2. that companies don’t bother to 3rd-party lab test for contamination[1] . The dispensaries I went to in MI two years ago made you sign a statement that releases them legally if you get sick on it. I don’t buy there. Not interested in ingesting poisons and molds. And just the other day there was a new article about labs in that state not testing properly. And to be fair, there are a lot of labs that aren’t testing the product thoroughly. Or maybe its the company contracting the lab to test that isn’t requiring certain tests because of their added expense.  See each single bacteria and mold and pesticide has a different test. They’re all priced differently too. So you can see where some testing wouldn’t be considered because of cost if the state doesn’t require the cannabis company to comply with contamination regulation. That shit scares me! I’m already immune compromised so I can’t be ingesting molds and mildews that would kill me. We have GOT to teach our legislators how to make good decisions about cannabis regulation.  We’re pretty lucky in Florida. Regulation has a long way to go but it feels like we’re on the right track.  Slow steady progress…

So during this time of confusion about cannabis, I hope to help those of us in Florida obtain clean product. Every FL dispensary by law, is obligated to 3rd party lab test their cannabis before sale.

But that’s not true for regular health food stores and new CBD shops poppin up all over the place. They are not restricted from selling you contaminated products.

So my intention is to teach you how to “fish”… AND prepare the meal!

You should know how to protect yourself in this era of cannabis contamination and confusion and that’s what I’m going to show you. And it’s simple.

Every single thing in the grocery store for consumption has an FDA imprimatur[2]  on it that signifies it’s OK for the consumer to ingest. Otherwise,  the grocer doesn’t stock it. His insurance wouldn’t allow him to carry a dangerous questionable item either. Not even with a warning that it had not been tested… And now we’ve become accustomed to trusting the items in a grocery store without even asking what the testing results were.

But we can not do that with health food stores.  They have all kinds of items that don’t have the FDA stamp of approval and you purchase any of those at your own risk.

And it’s the same for the new CBD products you’re seeing everywhere.  None of them have the FDA stamp.  The FDA has only just begun accepting applications from cannabis companies so we’ll have to wait a little more time before they take a stand and devise all their criteria for excellence.

Break

So this is how you protect yourself from unscrupulous companies selling product without testing results:

Ask to see a 3rd Party Lab Test on that product!

If one cannot be produced, then do not buy it.  Go to a different shop. Try a different product. There are lots of hemp companies who lab test their products so you are not limited to contaminated cannabis. You can easily find good companies online and Charlotte’s Web and American Shaman are two examples who sell clean product. I have used both brands in different forms (tinctures, salves, and drink mixes) and they work very well. Neither of them know I talk about them.

So this is the crux of our fishing lesson today… no matter where you are about to purchase cannabis, either hemp for it’s CBD or medical marijuana for it’s

Thc, you should always demand to see the 3rd Party Lab Test that proves there is no contamination in your product.

No molds, mildews, bacteria, pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, or heavy metals. When you know that cannabis likes to suck up heavy metals out of the soil… and that heavy metals cause brain damage… you suddenly realize the importance of growing cannabis as a medicine… in a bucket of chemical nutrient solutions it needs in order to grow.

This information will save you and your family and friends a lot of heartache down the road.  So many people have terrible diseases that ravage their delicate immune system of which 80% lives in your gut.
[3]

Inflammation is the number one reason for discomfort and pain… in fact, there’s a new term called “Inflammaging[4] ” to describe how our bodies are growing old with inflammation.  We can mitigate any damage from contamination  before it happens by demanding 3rd Party Lab Testing.

And oh by the way, hemp is what you want for pain from inflammation, and marijuana is what you want for acute pain.

If your sleep is troubled, try starting with some over the counter hemp so the compounds can calm your body through the night. The effects may be very subtle: maybe you didn’t get up in the night as usual… maybe you slept more soundly without tossing and waking so much… maybe you rolled out of bed a little easier…If you have negative looping thoughts, add a little marijuana to the regimen and see if that relieves the problem.f

If you get anxious from the Thc,[5]  use more hemp product to counter and tame the psycho effects of Thc. You can do this before you use marijuana, as you’re using it, or even after you’ve ingested… the chemovar (chemical variety) CBD in hemp will tame the Thc in marijuana.
[6]

So you learned how to protect yourself from contaminated cannabis by demanding a 3rd party lab test on that batch. Whether it’s medical marijuana or over-the-counter hemp from a brick and mortar store. Here in Florida, our laws protect medical marijuana from being sold without contamination… but that’s not true in every state.

And if you’re thinking of buying some CBD goodies, please make sure you’re not buying contaminated hemp!! Always ask your hemp shop keeper about the lab test.

But Buyer Beware: They often present a “lab test” that says what’s in the bottle but NOT FOR CONTAMINATION! There’s a difference. Buyer Beware! Trust but VERIFY!

I’ll tell you about two products I trust and use but I’m not affiliated with either. One is Charlotte’s Web CBD which you can find online and often in some dispensaries. The other is CBD American Shaman which has several brick and mortar shops in and around Melbourne, FL. Both of these companies produce a great clean product that will help your issues.

That’s my tip for the day. Hope you’re warm and dry and have plenty of food and water. A lot of our poor nation has been in survival mode so be sure and help wherever you can.

Happy Day to you all.

You’ve been listening to another Cannaba Verum podcast with 21st century cannabis shaman Honey Smith Walls, about the importance of using safe hemp and marijuana products. Unless otherwise proven by a reputable third party lab test, please be advised that all street weed is contaminated. It may do grave harm to a patient with a delicate immune system. I challenge you to check the veracity of my statements in each episode by checking the medical citations posted on my blog at Cannaba Verum.com.
