CV 030 Migraine
“Many people with chronic migraine are already self-medicating with cannabis, and there is some evidence that cannabis can help treat other types of chronic pain,” said Dr. Niushen Zhang, a study author and director of the Headache Fellowship Program at Stanford University in California.
MoC 029 Why Edibles?
I have some trepidation over the stuff we’re able to buy now in cannabis products. Even if it’s from a licensed facility and comes with a 3rd party lab test for contamination… edibles work differently than what you might expect after some experience ingesting it as a tincture or smoking or vaping or even using a patch on your skin.
CV 029 Witch Dr?
If you conjure up old ideas about a witch doctor you may see some African tribal medicine man in a grass skirt with a bone through his nose wildly shaking a gourd with beans in it over the poor victim to rattle bad spirits away. Maybe I should try that!
MoC 028 Pets and Cannabis
Dr. Angie began her love of animals with 2 black kittens at the age of 3. She decided early on to be their advocate and went to Texas A&M university to become a veterinarian. She learned about integrative, Chinese, holistic therapies like acupuncture and realized the value in home visits to minimize stress during feline or canine rehabilitation.
CV 028 Terpenes do WHAT?
A lot of conferences labs I attend often center back to the terpene content in cannabis. With over 400 compounds in the plant, whether it’s hemp or marijuana, it turns out the delicious variety of aroma that comes from cannabis is something we’re already familiar with and used to consuming… we know what lemon tastes like… even to just think about it.
MoC 027 Mailbag
Our current technology and system is not cheap or easy to deploy… to get millions of vials of meds into the arms of humans. It takes the equivalent of an army of trained staff to attend to long lines of people waiting for a jab.
CV 027 Anslinger Arrows
Well, both hemp and marijuana ARE cannabis. They both have over 400 compounds but one is psychoactive (marijuana) and hemp is not. You can consider hemp and marijuana sisters. They in the same family but wildly different. They both have sativa and indica varieties, they’re both medicinal and have overlapping properties like anti-inflammation and anti-bacteria, and so on.
MoC 026 Confusing Age
This audience includes a lot of older patients. I’m 67 and say that age is only a number. I feel more like I’m in my 40’s most days and then something will remind me I’m not. Most elder patients are trying bravely to understand this new therapy filled with a history of fear and uncertainty because of the 100 years of cannabis propaganda before recent legalization.
CV 026 Is it Tested
I hear a collective sigh of relief that the COVID-19 vaccine is finally in distribution almost a year from when we began hearing about the virus. And what we’re not hearing very much about are the stressors of hibernation for humans and how we’re going to fix those mental and emotional lapses. Cannabis can help.
But there are 17 states who still continue to refuse the use of cannabis for their patients. All other states are either medical or adult-use where people are able to find relief.
MoC 025 Healer’s Guest
Dr. Sulak’s next webinar is Wed. Feb. 24, 2021 at 7pm. He will host another well-known guest in the industry… this time in the field of animal health. You may know that I have a pack of 5 dogs and 2 fat cats… I can’t wait for this webinar and because of Cove-19, Dr. Sulak opened these seminars to the public! For FREE! They’re usually closed meetings for members.
