Hey my friends. I got the sweetest surprise on this episode. You’re just going to love all the lovin you’re gonna hear in this family. Wait till the women come around that Prince has been talking about oh, oh my goodness come on into Cannaba Verum with me.
Intro
Welcome to season three of the Cannaba Verum podcast, the cannabis truth podcast. I speak the language of cannabis freely and uncensored while educating my audience on safe use of this live Plant Therapy. You should know what’s in your cannabis. what’s good and what’s not. It does not come with an FDA stamp of approval yet. Using cannabis mindfully as medication is a different concept in western healthcare philosophy, specifically of the past 100 years. Now there’s a lot to learn and reconsider. The information you’ll find here comes straight from the scientists and clinicians doing the work and reporting their findings in real time through various live online outlets. The scientific truth of cannabis is finally getting out and is wide open for all to see at respected medical sites like pubmed.gov and JAMA, the Journal of American Medical Association, and I’m right there in the thick of it with all those titans of medicine… as a fly on the wall, because I’m not a doctor. I didn’t go to med school. I did take dozens of private cannabis courses offered by cannabis expert scientists online over the past few years and slowly began to understand the bigger picture. Well, I can talk to those medical professionals about cannabis all day long and their patients and hopefully inspire them to research the facts as we know them today. Cannabis is an amazing alternative in health remedies that can reportedly alleviate typical disease problems and troubling side effects caused by synthetic prescriptions. This is Honey Smith Walls, a 21st century cannabis shaman, not a doctor, not a scientist, raised by nuns and wolves in the verdant cattle pastures of the Oklahoma oil fields. I’m here to amplify the truth of this great big story and language of cannabis in historical political and scientific terms. So you can make educated decisions about the medicine you choose to ingest.

Prince Hudson, Cultivator 3:01
We have a lot of books here on the property. And we pay a lot attention to the Almanac that a lot of people don’t know. Benjamin Banneker, he’s known for the clock, but he actually pioneered the almanac. So the almanac existed, and he predicted several solar eclipses that were not in the almanac at all. And then they happened. So then all the people who wrote the almanac had to come back and say who was Benjamin Banneker right, what is going on? And how does he know this stuff and we totally missed it. So I’m just paying attention to the almanac. You can tell by the bark, you can tell by the nuts that fall from trees. how thick the limbs grow, things like that to tell you what the winter is going to look like what the summer is going to look like. And as far as the soil, we use “living” soil. So if you sit still long enough you’ll see our soil move like it’s typically alive.
Honey Smith Walls 3:58
Yes, that’s life in it.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 3:59
Right from micro-organisms… Yeah. Every day. Um, what else? All different types of worms, nematodes, and then we actually cook our soil down before we reintroduced life back to it. So from your different meals, bone meal and bloodmeal and different guanoes and all those different things. We’re always trying something new. We always have test plants and pots and five gallon pots just to see what they’re going to do. You know, we’ll have a little more magnesium here a little more nitrogen there because it’s a good way to put okay, my brother’s a chef and he said he learned something new every day but he’s been cooking 25 years. So the same thing with farming someone can come up and you know, hey, if you take the backhoe and you do this and twisted this way to say oh my god never thought of doing. So we never want to get ahead of ourselves and say well we’ve been doing this for generations, you know cuz we literally been farming as far back as we can trace. So it was very good chance that our land was acquired right after being enslaved. So it dates back that far, but we know we’ve been farming six generations. We can check it we can go back that far. No five generations, my bad. So five generations, we can trace it back that far. And there’s a lot of knowledge, you know, with COVID I don’t talk with my aunts as much just bigger events but before we will sit there and just you know walk me through your day How did you start a fire you know, how did you keep cool there was no central air there was no you know, a lot of these things didn’t exist and just to hear their stories of right now used to walk down to the creek every morning we drank water from the creek and we put that cool water on our face every morning. It wasn’t soap on our face in the morning, or how often they showered, you know, you didn’t break a sweat in the field. You didn’t shower why? Because that opens your pores and you go back out there and wintertime. So summer is one thing but you know winter you know so just getting that those lessons those life lessons from the elders. That’s the biggest thing. And then
Honey Smith Walls 6:08
a glorious
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 6:09
Yes, yes, yes. Oh my god, and then taking what they say and filter that because they’re human. You know, that might have been your take on the situation. So we a lot of trial and error, and it starts with the elders.
Honey Smith Walls 6:25
Wow. So what do you see for yourself in the future?
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 6:32
Well, going back to one of those first expos I went to it was an older white lady. She ran up to me, she hugged me. And I was kind of looking like maybe we’ve met before. And she said, It’s time it’s about time. I said, I’m still lost. And she said, I haven’t seen anybody black here. I haven’t seen anybody Spanish here. We’ve been doing this for eight, nine years, and it’s finally happening now. That you know, the bill was passed. And we used to be able to do stuff and get away with it. But you do the same thing and you get 510 years in prison for having the same quarter ounce of marijuana. And I was just kind of taken back like wow, I didn’t know this whole you know this world exists. All these advocates and what is the call I can’t think of the word word escapes me. I’m enthusiast that’s what it is. Enthusiasts for the hemp in cannabis and marijuana culture. And I realized how many people are being taken out of or left out of the industry by design, right by design by design. So we’ve changed our logo. We’ve already put it in for trademarking as a bridge. So Black Hemp Family is the pillar under a bridge and the way we came up with that is looking at how many people didn’t get the press release didn’t see the the secret meeting that they held in the city so people can vote and then those 10 people also get dispensaries and you know this happening in every city. Yes, the people in power want to remain in power and cannabis being as big as it is. If you give it to someone who has just enough money to open the door, that person could be a millionaire much later. And they don’t want that to happen. So for the future, we intend to be the bridge. So when a person comes to us and says, Hey, we don’t know what to do, we have a what is it? Sound benefits analysis is a a questionnaire for lack of a better term, we have a questionnaire of hey, what do you do? What are you into, you know, what are your likes, dislikes? Yes, and we meet them on there. Won’t be picking up that phone call. Actually, this might be kind of cool. Hold on. Watch this.
Honey Smith Walls 8:46
Alright.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 8:50
Mom? Yes. Hey, we’re on a podcast.
Honey Smith Walls 8:55
Good Morning. Good morning. This is Honey with the Cannaba Verum podcast down in Melbourne, Florida. And I’ve been talking to your baby boy about this brilliant Black Hemp Family business and I’m so impressed with all of you and what you’ve been able to accomplish. I just want to say thank you for your effort. Oh really? Thank you.
Lady Lauren aka Love 9:22
He has really been putting in the work.
Honey Smith Walls 9:25
He certainly has been. Your website is gorgeous. Your products are amazing. I can’t wait to try the popcorn and he just told me about some cornbread that you make that is infused and I just need a bigger bowl of butter beans to go with it. It’s all I can tell you.
Lady Lauren aka Love 9:46
Oh yes.
Honey Smith Walls 9:50
Are you enjoying the business?
Lady Lauren aka Love 9:53
Excuse me,
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 9:55
Are you enjoying being in this business?
Lady Lauren aka Love: 9:59
I am you know, because the main thing that we’re trying to do is get people off these prescription drugs. Yes, ma’am. Killing Oregoneons you know, that’s the main purpose.
Honey Smith Walls 10:10
Yes, ma’am. For me to to try to help people understand how great cannabis can help relieve their typical aches and pains and help them survive this planet better. You all have really made a huge, glorious step on that path.
Lady Lauren aka Love 10:33
Thank you very much. So have you tried our product?
Honey Smith Walls 10:37
Not yet. I’m going to soon. I just found out about you not long ago and called to beg an interview with Prince and I’m sitting here looking at this beautiful picture of all of you on the About Us page. It’s just wonderful.
Lady Lauren aka Love 10:57
Oh, okay. Yeah, well, we I we haven’t had any, you know, bad reviews or complaints. It’s working for everybody. And you know, our family uses it. So, you know, we don’t just talk about it. We do.
Honey Smith Walls 11:12
That’s right. And that’s the easiest part of selling a good product. I use it because it works. So therefore, you know, if you try it, I’m sure it’ll work for you too. Yeah, right. Yeah. You gotta you got to believe in your own product. And obviously, this is a good one. This is a good one. I’m so delighted to speak with you. Thank you.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 11:34
Mom. That was just perfect.
Honey Smith Walls 11:38
Yes,
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 11:40
I was just talkin about history and us farming. Is there anything you want to add about the history of us and farming and stuff that I might have missed? Because I’m sure it’s details that you know, I used to do the overview, but it might be something I don’t know.
Lady Lauren aka Love 11:52
Did you cover fruits vegetables, tobacco and sugar cane?
Honey Smith Walls 11:58
No.
Lady Lauren aka Love 12:05
We used to do pulp wood for ummm, go ahead mom you can do it.
Honey Smith Walls 12:09
Please tell us.
Lady Lauren aka Love 12:10
We grew pulp wood and my grandmother went into the woods and cut the actual trees.
Honey Smith Walls 12:18
Oh my goodness.
Lady Lauren aka Love 12:20
Because that was a chief you know product made um used for making paper.
Honey Smith Walls 12:26
I am amazed.
Lady Lauren aka Love 12:29
We grew fruits and vegetables you know with a necessity. We lived on a farm we had to eat
Honey Smith Walls 12:33
Of course
Lady Lauren aka Love 12:35
And so you know we enjoy the fruits of our labor. And we also sold that they used to have markets in our town called curb markets and I don’t know why they were called curb markets. But you know, it’s like a flea market or Farmers Market farmers market. Yeah. So we would sell all the fruit and vegetables there. And of course we you know everybody was into tobacco. So we grew tobacco and harvested and sold that and we also grew sugarcane and made molasses we had the molasses press and all of that,
Honey Smith Walls 13:09
Goodness. I’ve not heard…
Lady Lauren aka Love 13:15
many, many years because I still I have aunts who are alive and well who are 90, 96 and 97.
Honey Smith Walls 13:26
My goodness, I I enjoy that same longevity in my family. My husband is black and he’s 89 and his brother is 98 and you know they’re still very active they both still drive. His brother goes out and plays a round of golf every week. You know, 18 holes, sometimes twice a week. Very, very fit. And so the longevity in our family is like yours too.
Lady Lauren aka Love 14:04
Yes and 96 year old will just go out into her yard and I don’t know if you’ve ever heard of Polk salad but it’s like they they be kale or spinach and she just goes outside. It grows wild here and she picks those leaves and then she goes around in our yard and get some dandelion leaves. And then you know she grows her own tomatoes. And so that’s her salad.
Honey Smith Walls 14:37
That’s her salad.
Lady Lauren aka Love 14:40
This year, we have to plant, it just grows wild here but you know, still be eating off of the land is just wonderful.
Honey Smith Walls 14:47
Filled with protein and nutrients that you can hardly find in the grocery store.
Lady Lauren aka Love 14:52
Yes, exactly.
Honey Smith Walls 14:55
Yeah, yeah, I know Polk… I know Polk from Polk Salad Annie. Remember that old song?
Lady Lauren aka Love 15:01
They say that the berries are poisonous but she eats the leaves. She eats some raw and then she cooked some like you would cook you know turnip greens or collards.
Honey Smith Walls 15:12
You’re making my mouth water
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 15:15
Taking some something from the past and bringing it to the present. Working out and I’m looking at different things that grow and things you should eat and I found astragalus. So I said astragalus, this looks I’ve seen this before I just didn’t know where spring greens that we picked they grow out. That’s actually astragalus that they sell in the health store. So they actually grind up the the root of it but we would eat the greens. So if it runs up if it allows if it turns into more of a plant the nutrients are in the leaves but before that the nutrients are in the roots.
Honey Smith Walls 15:56
For heaven sakes.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 15:59
So springs greens is astragulus and it sells for countless amounts of dollars in every health food store.
Honey Smith Walls 16:04
I think I need to go to the health food store today.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 16:07
Or looking out in your front yard there.

Honey Smith Walls 16:16
Hey my friends, I want to give you a tip about somebody I know and trust who can give you the help you need. Dr. Anthony Mazo is a highly rated neurology specialist here in Melbourne, Florida. With more experience in headache, epilepsy and HIV issues then other doctors in this area. Dr. Mazo was the first clinician to study the cannabis plant and become a medical marijuana physician in Melbourne when it was finally legalized in Florida in 2016. His understanding of the mechanism and effects of this live Plant Therapy will set you on the path to relief in no time. Dr Mazo is not quick to prescribe traditional synthetic chemicals. When he knows that gentle cannabis will likely give the relief that you’re seeking. I know this to be true because I had to see him for my own old lady neuropathy issues. He did not prescribe the usual synthetic stuff. He told me to go get a particular kind of cannabis instead and use it in a specific way to find relief. And that is what every doctor in America should have in their little black bags. He also doesn’t know that I’ve made this little commercial for him, so be sure and tell him where you heard about him. Just tell him Honey sentcha, he’ll get a kick out of it. His clinic details will always be in my show notes for you. It’s the Brevard Neuro Center. Dr. Anthony Mazo MD, his phone number is area code 321-733-2711 And he’s at 315 East NASA Boulevard in Melbourne, Florida. Dr. Anthony Mazo a great friend to all of us.

Join my guest hosts and me on the brand new clubhouse room called Rising Cannabis Connections. Mondays, eight o’clock am Eastern. See you there. Well, I’m delighted to find out about the Black Hemp Family farm and the products that you sell. Do you third party lab test those products?
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 19:57
Yep…Two different labs. Yes. Two different labs just because things vary you know far as altitude or the last time they cleaned the machine things of that nature. And we don’t have a micro but it’s called micro chromatography. We don’t have that machine. It’s about $30,000. So it’s at least right. But um, until then yes, we definitely check and then double check
Honey Smith Walls 20:24
I may know where there is a micro chromatography we might be I can’t Yeah, I know. I can’t. I can’t chromatography machine. Thank you couldn’t think of the word. The word escaped me. I might know where one is from a doctor who used it for a year or two up in Montana. And then the Montana laws changed and he was no longer able to continue that business and it’s just sitting in a warehouse. Tada. We’ll talk after the show.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 21:03
Interesting. chromatography machine. It’ll tell you more than you want to know. Oh, you put something in there. It’s gonna break it all the way down and tell you every single thing that’s in there. So he might have been you know onto something groundbreaking. He said, Hey, we can’t have him healing people… we’re trying to make money off these pills! Shut him down.
Honey Smith Walls 21:24
In fact, that is exactly what happened. Prince. I’m talking about Dr. Michael Geci and his experience up in Montana. He’s a 30 year emergency doctor in New York who was asked and invited to go out and start Montana’s cannabis program. And he did so by opening up a lab and lalalala you just said the rest of the story and it broke his heart. He came back home to New York and wrote a book about it called #PotDoc. Oh, and I can’t remember the tagline to it. Yeah. Pot doc yes Dr. Michael G e c i and he’s He’s a lovely, brilliant doctor up in New York. And anyway, I recognize the story, you know and and the need for helping put people together maybe who might be able to benefit from each other’s experiences. So anyway, we’ll see if that pans out later. And I’ll try to keep our audience posted of that little jewel and tidbit and who knows what’ll happen.
Lady Lauren aka Love 22:50
So did you tell her that we market to the military for PTSD?
Honey Smith Walls 22:55
Oh, that’s fantastic.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 22:56
That was gonna be something I forgot.
Honey Smith Walls 23:01
So glad you called. That’s wonderful. I I am thrilled that PTSD is finally in a big way one of the originating reasons why people can use cannabis in the form of medical marijuana. But also hemp will help those with PTSD so much. Do you agree?
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 23:32
Yes yes. We’re deeply rooted in the military. My father was. He’s a veteran marine of 26 years. His father in World War II. Uncles and cousins. And so we’re deeply rooted in military and understand what type of effect that can have on your returning home.
Honey Smith Walls 23:48
Oh, yes. Oh, yes. Well, Hemp has a lot of medicine for for anybody with serious stress problems and issues and memories that just won’t let go of us. You know, those negative looping memories then we just have such a hard time breaking. Cannabis will break that stuff. Break that stuff right up for us.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 24:16
The funny thing is, we’re so used to we’re indoctrinated on medicine, so we call it medicine. But, you know, Apple isn’t medicine. You know, it was put here for us to consume. And people always ask me, What does it put in your body? It’s actually just a cleanser. It’s like cleansing your showerhead if you look at your showerhead is a bunch of gunk coming out or fire you soak it and then everything comes through so CBD and is you know, in, in, what’s the word? It’s essentially a cleanser for our body to just work naturally.
Honey Smith Walls 24:57
Well, I love the effect that CBD has on us. I had a I interviewed a drink company called Cannabix. And it was really an amazingly good tasting little drink that had about 30 milligrams of CBD in it. Well, one day some nasty thing was happening on the news and I’m highly politically charged. And I was having an absolute meltdown. And I took that drink and just started sipping on it not even thinking about the CBD in it. And as the day went on, the story got worse and worse. And it was about women being abducted in Africa and women being abducted in Afghanistan and the nightmares that women live through and you hear it in my voice how upset I’m getting already. And I drink that drink. And as the news got worse, I began wondering why I wasn’t crying. Why I wasn’t buzzing inside with anger and why I was no longer as upset as I had been an hour earlier. And that drink only had 30 milligrams of CBD in it. And that was the reason I had never had a drink of anything that assuaged my feelings, my emotions. Like that. And that’s why I’m so excited to hear the stories of your family using cannabis, you know, intentionally, mindfully and with, you know, great honor to your own bodies to to get relief. We all need that.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 26:45
Oh, I referenced the elders several times and I’ll probably continue doing it because that’s where we get our way of life from when you look in our like, I don’t even know what’s in the medicine cabinet. We’ll be honest, you know, I haven’t been in there and so long there’s no pills or syrups around the house. Hey, I’ll just take this and I’ll feel better. We don’t really believe in too many synthetic things. So it’s not a lot of boxes and bags and you know things that make sound before you open them. Because those things are you know, man made synthetic and it clogs up.
Honey Smith Walls 27:19
Excuse me. I had a little I had a little sneeze there. I’m sorry. I was trying to hide it and came out a bless you bless you thank you it came out as a goofy burp instead. Anyway,
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 27:31
Staying away from manmade stuff and using a lot of fruits and vegetables and you know, since I was since I can remember if I come to my mom and I said hey, my stomach hurts. Well eat these greens, drink this water, sit on the toilet. And then we’ll figure out what’s next is never Hey, take the spoon full of whatever. So
Honey Smith Walls 27:53
It’s a process, yeah, that’s the lesson. Finding out and discovery is a process for every individual and it’s going to be different for every individual that starts with that same thing you know, eat the right food, drink some water sit on the toilet you know, it does.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 28:12
Yes, we all have our own walks definitely. And nobody’s perfect. Nobody’s going to figure it all out. You know, if you’re smart, you’ll learn something every day until the day you pass.
Honey Smith Walls 28:21
Awww that’s what my husband says if we’re lucky, we’ll learn something every day.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 28:25
If we’re aware of it, and we’re aware of the energy like my mom calling and she happened to be free and I know how much she runs. She does all the missionary work in the community and always go to CVS for somebody or they’ve made the whole meal and she’s ninety years old and so you know, I just really want some cornbread. So for her to be free in this moment and to be on the podcast and she had no idea. You know, I just figured I could handle it and then I’ll just send her the link and she critique it as you always do. This is precious to me. No, I was gonna send it to you after you know I wasn’t gonna bog you down today so I’m just going to knock it out.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 29:02
I had some errands to run and I said okay, on my way home I was gonna call you because you are my mind. There you go.
Honey Smith Walls 29:10
You are so precious. And this is such a wonderful episode for my audience to hear. I’m really grateful to you both to spend this time with us. And I just want everybody to know you can find #BlackHempFamily.com Please see their website. Ask about their corn bread products and and get in touch with Prince if you would like to go into some counseling about farming and a business and and all of that and in this hemp and cannabis and marijuana industry, because it sounds like you’ve got your thumb in the right place Prince in a lot of different places throughout the United States working this process.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 0:01
I would say that’s probably only because my mom’s had her foot in the right place my entire life. So I’m motivated over here.
Honey Smith Walls 0:08
Well, it’s precious that you give honor to your mother and I want to as well thank you so much for joining us today. Before we go, Prince do tell us how our audience can can get in touch with you personally.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 0:22

That’s fantastic. I’m really excited about this and my last question for you. Are you happy in this industry?
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 1:15
My mom said… I was in a bad relationship…. real quick. I was in a bad relationship about five years ago and my mom said never wake up unhappy. You’re too young. Yep. And I took that and applied it to everything. If I wake up unhappy, I gotta change I gotta change. I got to clean my room, got to switch something. Something has to change.
Honey Smith Walls 1:35
I love that.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 1:37
If I wake up unhappy, I’m changing something.
Honey Smith Walls 1:40
That’s wonderful. Yeah, that’s that’s really excellent advice. Excellent. advice. Thank you so much. Dearhearts this is wonderful. I’m very excited for our audience to hear this. And I’ll let you know just as soon as, as I can, when it’s going to air it won’t be very long. And I hope to talk to you again. Anytime you have some news or new products. Please holler at me and come back on the show. Will ya?
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 2:10
Definitely. Well, oh, last but not least, I have to mention my son, Prince. You’re gonna listen to this at some point and your dad loves you and you’re probably gonna be running the business or something very soon… So.
Honey Smith Walls 2:20
Oh, my goodness, there’s the legacy… that’s fantastic. That’s beautiful. That’s just beautiful. This three generations right here that we’re watching. Thank you. So mom,
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 2:33
So mom, maybe next time maybe we’ll get one of the aunts on the phone. See if they’re free. Let’s do that.
Honey Smith Walls 2:37
I love that idea. Okay, I’d like to hear some of those really great old stories too you know, the ones that we only get to read in books anymore. So it’s great to hear it from right from the source.
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 2:51
Definitely. Take care thank you thank you thank you.
Honey Smith Walls 2:53
and my pleasure, Happy Day to you all,
Prince Hudson, Cultivator 2:57
Happy day to you. Bye bye. Cheers.

I watch the National Cannabis Industry Association (NCIA) at: thecannabisindustry.org and many more like: NCIA’s Cannabis Industry VOICE (CannabisRadio.com)
Over past episodes of Cannaba Verum, we’ve listened to some amazing scientists and medical professionals talk about their discoveries and patient successes as hundreds of questionable compounds rise to the public grasp. I am especially interested in the pharmacists movement becoming an integral part of this new medicinal choice.
Watch this machine roll into action through conversations with pharmacy doctors all over the nation like Dr. Leah Johnson out West and Dr. Alan Ao up North. There are so many more but these two have come on my show to explain the situation and it’s fascinating.

PS: Helping society get past the fear of using cannabis will be a lifelong journey for me. This industry is just opening up and most patients and doctors are seriously cannabis naive and need help understanding where to turn for trustworthy information.
If you need help opening that cannabis discussion with your family doctor, please reach out and grab the Dear Doctor Letter I wrote for this exact purpose. It will explain your decision to try cannabis and ask for their help in monitoring your labs and progress. It will also show them where they can find medical research on the subject of your diagnosis and the effects of cannabis.
You’ll find that letter at cannabaverum.com
